Its probably your hood that's squeaking. I'd check that first.

Its probably your hood that's squeaking. I'd check that first.

That would be my first guess too. Adjust the hood bumpers and get some of the side rubber hood isolators and lube the latch and hinges. That should quiet it down. If not ... look elsewhere.

White lightning lubricant on the hinges

While driving over bumps pull hood release to pop hood up off of rubber stoppers and see if noise goes away.

Definitely get the insulators that go in the fenders that should have been supplied by the factory. They take some of the load of that huge hood off the hinge.

It is very much the Right Thing To Do.

Also look at the plastic cover over the radiator core support. The hood latch (on the hood itself) was contacting the core support cover and causing my hood to squeak. I could see a wear spot on the plastic and a shiny spot on the catch. In the attached image you can see what I removed from the cover. (Just for reference if you open the hood, stand at the front bumper and look down at the hood latch you will see what I took a pic of.) I just cleaned it up with a dremel tool and fixed a problem I had chased for many years.

I had this issue as well I checked everything as stated above but in the end I put in new upper and lower control arms as the rubber on the old ones was dry and cracked. I tried lubing them which helped for a bit but noise always came back. I also am a very spirited driver and I didn't want to lose a ball joint on the highway both lowers where just about shot. I did my own alignment in school and got everything as close to carfixers specs but need to get different camber bolts as I maxed the factory ones out. hope this helps
