Yep, he'd have been hurting for sure...Last weekend I had some guys meet up at my house for a motorcycle ride. None of them had seen any of my cars before, as we were getting ready to go, one of them decided to lean on my MM....I promptly explained that is a no no :nono:in my garage!

Road trip!
You mean "road flare", through the back window of the offender. Admit nothing, deny everything, demand proof, words to live by. Or you could have just followed him to where ever he was going, and return the favor.:D
Do you have any idea how quick you can get a roof off a car with a battery powered sawzall?

More reasons why I don't take my car out. The fact he gave you the finger as he left would have resulted in him being dragged out his car and slammed several hundred times with his car door. I was getting enraged just reading your post.

...They should make it legal for car enthusiasts to defend their cars. SERIOUSLY

THAT SUCKS!!!!!!
I think i would have lost it and did something that would probably get me in legal trouble, but worth it.
I don't make it a practice to take my mm to he store but when it happens i park uphill away from all other cars and carts.

Just another example as to why so many people today should just go off themselves.

How's this one.
1965, I park my brand new Corvette, downhill, far away from the entrance to a shopping mall.
I come out of the mall and three kids are pushing shopping carts down the hill to see if they can hit the "pretty blue car".
Fortunately, they missed, but some prick did steal my hubcaps in the parking lot at New Jersey's Palisades Amusement Park.

See, this is exactly why I rarely take my Marauder out anymore, especially to crowded places. I bought my $1100 '91 Lesabre for that exact reason.

Damn that really sucks. Does the store have cameras in the parking lot or on the building? It may be the proof you need to file a claim. And then get him for leaving the scene of an accident possibly? Even though it wasn't really an automobile accident

I drive a junk for a daily driver(94 f250). better off not driving something nice as a daily driver. back in the mid 80's i had a 81' firebird forumla and parked it a a local strip mall. i was not even out of the car yet when a cadillac parked next to me and a couple got out of it, but the woman on the passenger side slammed her door into my driver side door...she saw me in my car but did not say sorry...the couple walked into a store. once they were in the store i got out and planted my 13 inch workboot into their rear quarter panel!! ...a simple "im sorry" would have worked

With all the stories like this one I see on here, it just makes me want to invest in one of those smaller digital cameras that actually take high-quality pics. Before you even ask him what the hell he was doing with his shopping cart on your car, giving him an opportunity to move it, you have a picture of him being negligent and damaging your property.
Then, off to small claims you go. :)

Not so hard to believe given the climate 'out there' with things like that going on rather frequently alas.
Last month at our local car show, I had to get up from my chair and go to the front of my DTR '04 to see what the devil these three 'gentlemen' were doing bent over the front and leaning down in the engine compartment...one was turning the Goodyear Gatorbelt over to see all the ribbing on it...
To say that I was upset would be an understatement...then there were the usual fender leaners a couple of times.
I only drive my MM on days like today here in Wimberley (bright and sunny and cool) and to shows...and yep...I always park way out by myself if I am going to the hardware or grocery store...and yet I find grocery baskets and careless parkers next to my car no matter what. Thus the little dent in the right rear section I had removed by the painless dent person last year.
Even being very careful is sometimes not enough.
But that person you came in contact with takes it...

No problem.
Because of the deductible, I received $50 from my insurance company.
Younger, single guys with Corvettes got socked on insurance costs.

I should mention that I sold that car in 67 (got married), and the new owner drove it into the Hackensack River and left it.
(Police called me thinking that I was still the owner. Slow paperwork those days.)
I still have two old pictures of that car, my all time favorite, in my den right over my bar (perfect spot).
