Pleased to report after sitting since August LiL SiS is getting a motor transplant!
A member found a 2001 Mustang GT complete longblock with under 50K.
While she is up in the air , I thought it a good time to have the trans freshend up, to correct OD lamp flashes on moderate accel.
If all goes as planned I would like to get the trans J-modded.
If the Marauder wasn't sitting in piece$ part$, I would love to do tailshaft mod , Driveshaft, and some spanky 2V heads,& convertor.
Panthers Rule!
Hugh thanks to yjmud for all his efforts:bows:You get the first drive!:burnout:

The donor Motor was older than than I thought, so I have an 90K engine ordered for tomorrow.
got a real decent deal on yjmuds' suggestion from A-Reliable on the motor.

I got the trans dropped off today for a bench rebuild.
It is going to get j-modded ,softer accumulator springs, and the front pump seal was weak/leaking.
My builder asked me where's the stall convertor this time?
He did the Marauder last summer and knows how much, I like it that way!
I told him I had not planned far enough in advance to get a custom convertor built, prior to leaving the parts with him .
He said his convertor builder has some options and we can restall the existing OEM 11" or get a new unit entirely. He followed up with, "How high are you gonna stall this Bee ah ch?"
This build is now, is way more interesting to me ! :P

I ended up keeping the stock convertor, my builder sent it out to have it beefed up and restalled 300 RPM higher.
He is doing the J-mod as per the instruction sheet and uses a heavy duty seperator plate to withstand the damage the accumulator piston inflicts .
I should have it back to yjmud & Co. tomorrow after lunch.

The Trans and convertor got delivered to the Shop today.
The builder claimed he was able to achieve a RE-stall to 2600-2800 on the stock convertor.
That is way more stall than I thought possible :cool4:

New tensioners and guides are a good idea on this engine! Isnt that what killed your old 2v?

Yes, and at the slightest hint of chain slap, I promise not to ignore the noise!

no chance of doing it before install ? I think its about $80 for both sides.

FYI, on the original motor that came out, one side of the gear set was wearing perfect the other side was shot due to a broken tensioner guide. The new motor is installed and super quiet.
