I have a question that should be very simple but,I can't figure it out...I put a strip of leds in my engine bay..So far so good.I used a tap a line thing that plugs into the fuse box.Two slots, one for the fuse that was in that slot and a second fuse for the new power line..Positive to positive, negative to negative battery to leds. They light beautiful.I try to put a toggle switch,2 prong, one pos. one neg. and either the lights stay on no matter if switch is on or off.Or I blow a fuse...Anybody have an answer????

OK it's official, "I'm a Moron"......The 2 prong switch goes in between the power wire...On/Off shuts power on/off.Got it....

Very easy once you have it figured out..Put all your led strips on where ever, dome light panels etc...The red wires of all the lights get connected together and connect on one side of switch.Hook up a add a line...(A power wire with two fuse slots) remove one of the fuses in the fuse box under the hood.I used the one for the horn.Look it up in your owners manual. It had a 15 amp blue fuse..Plug in the add a line to that slot and put a second fuse in the holder..You don't really need more than 3 amps..Use a 5 or 10 amp...The end of that line goes to the other side of the toggle switch. This is where I went wrong...connect all the black or ground wires and ground them to the body or negative on the battery..You can put as many lights on as you want...I just saw a switch that comes on when you open the hood and goes off when you close it...I'm gonna get one.$10..

theres no light at the end of this tunnel haha but i did look on the site and i found some stuff that looks pretty good but it doesnt give any details about switches or setups. i dont want to have to create some circuit and make a switch because i can certainly g oon ebay and get one that is complete.

the link there is probably what would look the best. it might look especially sweet under the cowl almost facing the motor at like a 45 degree angle and kind of light up the whole bay. maybe even one under the ledge where the radiatior is but facing the engine instead. they are 30cm / 12 inches each so i guess two under the cowl and one under the rad support. 30 days is a long time to have to wait.

I bought the 5 meter roll of blue LEDs...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-5M-300LED-3528-SMD-Flexible-LED-Light-Lamp-Strip-Car-Auto-12V-2A-Moto-Home-/360501980354?_trksid=p2047675. l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&nma=true&si=ofoe3qt47YqTHWAmy%2BWk1g9sM Ag%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Around $5...and yes,you have to wait.2-3 weeks.Or you can buy the same thing for 5 times as much from "Bright Lights""and get it in a week....I've bought a lot of stuff from China and Hong Kong...Same products..And they stand behind what they sell.If you have a problem with something you bought, they will replace it.No question....

That roll of them looks pretty good but does it come with a switch or do you have to add your own? Also power source and circuit protector?
