I find myself thinking about something I never thought I'd do. Sell my car.
I had a nice dinner with the wife last night and we were talking about the usual stuff. Somehow the subject of me building Factory Five Cobra came up? To my surprise she was all for it. This is something I've always wanted to do. But chances are if i do I'll need to sell the Marauder to help fund the project.
I don't want to start a who's supercharger is best debate but do you guys think a eaton swap car would have a similar value to a Trioligy? I've only seen 2 sell one was absolute steal by TFB and the other was the ImaplaSlayer which I think required a little assembly. Thoughts?

If I could get a loan I would have bought one from (can't remember his name) but he went from a BMW to a mm which was Eaton swapped and back to a BMW. His was clean and still had room for power.
Pics and mileage would help.
Good luck if you decide to sell.

^^^^^ What Jake said.
Pics, mileage, and overall condition will determine reasonable asking price.

If you put it back to stock and sell the blower as a complete kit I think that you'll be farther ahead money wise. Not the best time of year to be selling.

Thanks for the replies....I wasn't asking for a appraisal or would have added more info. Should have worded my original post better my fault.
My question is if you have 2 identical marauders but one has a Trioligy and one a eaton swap are they close in value? Or do you guys think having the Triolgy demands a large premium?

I think the Trilogy may get a few pennies more just because of the oem look they bring
There isn't many average Joe Car Guy's out there that can look at mine and know it's not factory, Zack's install is that good... Still with a parts/install manual and a supplier for the parts & information, I'd defiantly give the advantage in price to the Trioligy... How much??? Largely depends on condition of the vehicle....

I think it would be pretty darn close considering the resale isn't all that much on MM's anyways. Maybe just a tad longer of a sale as the buyer would be more inclined to buy something that didn't require much fabbing from the previous owner.

I think bottom line is what you feel it be worth for you to sell it and feel good about it . In a buyers mind it's what they want at thr giving point .
My 2 cents

The Trilogy is CARB legal, which may or may not be a consideration.

Not for you, but for 12% of potential buyers it is a consideration. None of us like CARB, but have to deal with it anyway.

Sorry, what I should have said is the Trilogy is not CARB legal. A Trilogy will pass the emissions tests though.
I cant find the exact post, but someone (Jerry I think) goes into the cost of gettine CARB approved or whatver they call it and its tens of thousands of dollars with no guarantee of sucess.

^^^^^ What he said. IIRC, a Vortech is the only SC set-up that'll pass the CA enviro-nazi's requirements.

^^^correct. Must have EO# displayed at the time of smog and the Vortech S-trims do for the Marauder.
