Now that I have secured the replacement motor for the #93 Trilogy car.
I want to port the blower on Lonnie Dolls' endorsement.
He reminded me of things I coud do in the meantime to make up the loss of compression, while I get all the major pieces.
Stegie is the only place I know of for this and that's where I'll ship her off to unless I find someplace that may be closer or better?

I've heard of a place called POSI performance who seems to have a good reputation.

Pistons are cheap. Raise the compression! That's what I was contemplating with mine.

I have had very good luck with Stiegemeier but I live close enough that I handed him my S/C and picked it up. His 'Snake-byte' port job has allowed me to max the S/C w/o going to twin screw. My M112 gets 15# of boost dropping off to 13# at 6400 rpm on my 5 liter stroker.

If he is interested in a 4lb lower Metco hub and ring, pm Steps (Steve) i sold him the 3.0 polished upper and 4lb lower Metco setup, last i talked with him he was considering selling it.

Some folks have had issues with Stiegy quality, others, no problem. I'm currently running a Steigy-rebuilt M112 core and it's performed well to date.

Anyone can open up the holes but knowing how far to take them is the key to making power. Posi's ports are race and dyno proven and IMO can't be beat.

I wasn't aware that he no longer does them. My point still stands though, I would go wtih a ported blower that is proven.

Brian and Jake both checked out what I've done with mine and said it looked great and was done in all the right areas, like theirs. Unfortunately, Brian did write up a big post on SVTP about shutting his doors due to not having as much time as he'd like with his family and he is a very hands on guy that does not want someone to run his business for him. Porting is art, and science. It's good to know hydrodynamic and thermodamic principles also. :beer:

I appreciate RacerX offering services via PM for rebuilding and Porting, I bet his work is second to none.
My curiosity on the snake bite has me leaning that way, I like the idea of the gears and makin' noise at idle :P

My M112 gets 15# of boost dropping off to 13# at 6400 rpm on my 5 liter stroker.I don't post up on these threads much but when I had my motor rebuilt I dropped the compression to 9:5:1. I had Bob from Stiegemeier port out my blower & had no issues. Now with a custom built 1 off lower pulley & a 3.0 Blower pulley I'm putting out 16.5 lbs of boost. With the 2.8 I was putting out 20.2 lbs of boost. I choose to use the 3.0 for daily use & the race tune so I dont heat up the blower & keep the Air intake temps down. Some people here dont like Bob's work, some have had no problems like me.

Porting a blower is not hard as long as you know how air flows. I have seen POSI's ported eatons and they can be done by anyone who knows how to work the tools and has enough patience to do so.
I did ine for a local termi owner and he picked up around 30whp. Its definatelly worthed.
About CR 9.5.1 is where its at.
