Steering column squeak

Noticed the other day a light squeak when turning either left or right. Sounds like it's coming from the steering column. I haven't had a chance to squeeze into the footwell to look at it to see where I can apply lube as yet. Any suggestions as to where to look and what would be best to use?

Noticed the other day a light squeak when turning either left or right. Sounds like it's coming from the steering column. I haven't had a chance to squeeze into the footwell to look at it to see where I can apply lube as yet. Any suggestions as to where to look and what would be best to use?

Clean and lube the u-joint on the steering shaft under the hood.
