Just wanted to let every one know that in the next two weekends Jerry from Trilogy and my self will be in Florida for two Ford drag race events on two separate weekends.

Jerry will be at the “Fun Ford Weekend” race in Orlando, FL on the weekend of March 5-6 and 7th. And I will be attending the NMRA Race in Bradenton, FL the following weekend of March 12-13-14th.

Jerry will be racing his #1 Marauder in Orlando FFW event and will then hook up with me the following weekend at Bradenton’s NMRA race, so their will be the both of us running our MM’s in the modular class at the NMRA race.

I will be driving my MM the entire trip from MI. At that time I hope to making around 13.5psi of boost with my Trilogy set up and putting down about 445-465 RWHP.

I’m driving it there and back with my widened rear rims and the Nitto 305 Drag radials as well. Hoping for mid 12’s in the ¼ mile in the Florida heat and if I have time to sort out the NOS by then I hope for a little 30-50 shot on top of the boost to get it into the 11’s.

When I went to the NMRA race a year ago for this same event I had Jerry’s number one car only sorted out for a few days (his blower kit was being developed still) and it ran mid 13’s in the 90 degree heat then. Now it has 4.10’s, some exhaust work and 11.5 psi of boost not the kits normal 9.5psi…. Like in TX it should go high 12’s in the FL heat as well, where in the cold in the fall it goes mid 12’s.

Last year at the NMRA event when I had the Trilogy car I recall seeing only one other MM drag racing with me and only one other MM in the car show! I’m hoping to see a ton more this time around since I think the MM has gained some more popularity in the last year or so.

Hope to see some of you…

Thanks

They sound like some great numbers Lidio, good luck in March. Wish I could be there to watch you tear them up.

I'll probably see you in Bradenton. Are both cars black?

I was at Bradenton today for the Super Chevy Show (sorry) . It was a good turn out but there were no Fords....There was a nitrous injected Z06 that ran in the 11's. That's pretty impressive for street car.

Yes both are black. Mine has been joked about as looking like quite the Mafia car becuase of the dark windows and blacked out chrome trim around the windows.

Lidio,
I tried to get the time off work, but no luck. I was going to drive my Marauder down to Florida as well. I was hoping to run with Jerry and Lidio, a trio of Trilogy's. What kind of numbers have your new mods got you on the dyno Lidio? I will be trying some of these out myself, outlook is promising!
Give me a call or post what you have done up to now when you get a chance, I am dying to hear....

Lidio,

I was over in Orlando yesterday and met up With Jerry just as he was unloading the car. The car was dirty, so after tech inspection Jerry, my eleven year old son Joshua And I went to find a car wash. Unfortunately Jerry let me drive. THe car is very fast. My 2004 is completely stock, so it was quite impressive. Jerry drove on the way back to the track and made sure we were3 first in line at a red light, reached over and turned off the AC, waited for the green and hammered away. What a blast. I turned around to look at my son and he had an ear to ear grin. Josh was getting bored and tired so we didn't get to stay long enough to see the car run, but quite a few people were impressed including a local deputy. Jerry is a great guy and I apprreciate his time and hospitality yesterday.

I'll be at Orlando Speed World Dragway wednesday night if you or Jerry are not busy between the two week-ends.

Jimmy

Glad you got to meet Jerry Barns and the #1 car he owns.

Addictive isn’t it... The totally stock like manners of the car and yet the “OH MY GOD” when you put your foot down!!

Tell me.... did Jerry start the conversation with the local law enforcement you mentioned or did they pull him over??
He was also quite popular with the local police back in September when we all went to TX's for the MM round up. I think he got pulled over twice while on test drives.

Remember I'll be in Bradenton FL with Jerry and my MM as well this coming weekend. If you think Jerry's MM feels good at about 11.5psi of boost wait to you see and hopefully feel mine at 13.6psi!!

Thanks
