I run the NT05R on my widened wheels. The are superior than the M/T radial to say the least, but they also lasted 800 miles but no complaints here.

NT05 is their max performance tire that works great in the rain and can use to track; NT05R are drag radials.
I'd get the NT05 - it grips and makes these beasts stick to the road.

Never tried them, but I do run the Nt555 Drag radials and they are pretty good. not as good as the M/T on the track, but a way better driving tire in all weather conditions.......

I have put about 3000 road miles on them, my fair share of smoke shows for the public and have seen about a dozen or so 1/4 mile runs at the track with them in the last two years. The picture you have posted of them Doom, really doesn't do them any justice. This is a tire you must see and experience 1st hand to really appreciate. I will for sure need to replace them sometime next year due to the lead foot I some time have.
