I checked my notes and the correct build # is 2189 out of 3214 . Your VIN number is showing out of sequence as compared to build 2187 (user BAD MERC) so one of your cars appears to be wrong. Are you able to post a picture of the certificate itself?

I still see a huge chunk of white space, which is either a good sign that there are a lot of Marauders still out in the wild... or it's a bad sign that we don't have as much current information as we need/want

What was total production for 03 and 04?? Wasn't it just over 11K, I would think there is well over 1K gone by now. Once cars reach the 10-sub 10K threshold they definitely become disposable items to a lot of people out there. :(

That was Charlie AKA Bluerauder who posted that graph... I don't think it was a factual graph, but more of a "forecast". I remember when that was posted and suddenly Marauder specific part prices in the FOR SALE forum increased by like 200%

I haven't ordered the certificate and whatnot from Ford yet. Anyway, notable that the car has 306,000 miles on it right now and still kicking.

According to the CarFax, the car was shipped in August 2002, serviced (not sure what was done) in Nebraska by some foreign auto shop in October 2002 then sold to it's first owner in South Dakota on January 10, 2003 with 34 miles on it.

Yes and no. The Certificate is official recognition from Ford Performance based on the VIN. It provides the build number, assembly plant, color, and build date.

The Marti report also provides that IIRC but also goes into detail on options, selling dealer, and whatever else they have on the VIN. Perhaps more vehicle info but I believe the recognition of being a limited performance vehicle is not on it however.

Is there room on his spreadsheet to make a goner column? There is, but I won't add 'totaled' unless it can be 100% cross-referenced with verified Ford data on my existing spreadsheets.


If someone else wants to maintain a database of random totals they find on the 'net, that is fine. I may even have one that was PM'd to me that someone can use as a starting point.

Thanks to this spreadsheet, I was able to determine that member @jabird56 and my cars were also born on the same day and are even closer...VIN's are 130 apart. His is build is 1787 out of 7093 ands mine is 1782. We also determined that both cars were delivered in Omaha, NE. Cool stuff.

I agreed with what you wrote.
When I was looking to buy the Marauder I did not like Flint interior and there were a lot with flint, so I bought the low miles charcoal perfect interior here before I bought the Marauder. Then I came across my Marauder here and sure enough it had flint seats (perfect). I switched over and sold the flint interior here for about what I paid for charcoal.
I have a black Lincoln Aviator with flint seat and that is ok, since all of the interior is flint.
