fix a flat will ruin the inside of the rim and when you take the tire off it will have all the gooey crap you squirt into it. just make all the dirt stick to the inside of the rim and it just sucks. i hate taking tires off that have fix a flat in them. i would rather take off tires that are run flats and they are THE WORST

I put slime in all 4 tires once thinking I would head off slow leaks that I had in both front tires that were aging. It caused a bad out of balance thunking every day when I first took off until the slime had time to get dispersed again. Never again will I use any fix-a-flat product unless in an emergency.
In college days I had the crap in one of my tires during the winter. When they went to change the tire, big chunks of ice were in there.

+1 on no fix-a-flat! Stuff is only good for the lawn mower. Funny though, that fix-a-flat and an air compressor, are what came with a few Fords instead of a real spare tire in recent years, smh.

I have used fix a flat for years! Since I had my first car.
Never had any issues. Stuff works great for me!

Just don't use it in the Beast.
It will tarnish the surrounding chrome. :jk:

Most of the flat tires I've had were in the right rear.

When riding on the stock BFG's, I had a slow leak on driver's rear -2 sets.
Since the Nitto's have been mounted, problem went away.

Sometimes bfg makes tires with bad beads
Bfg tires suck in my opinion and they also wear really weird. The inner lip of your wheels may have been dirty or some kind of gunk could have built up before the were replaced and if I was to be the one changing your tires id clean that part so maybe you got a guy who cared.

They are original tires with 11k miles on them. Which also makes them 10yrs old and hardly used.

Your tires are suffering from "dry rot" no fix for that except getting replacement tires.
For what it's worth if you really not driving the car a lot then save your self some money and buy used tires on the car.I have used tire on mine and no issues what so ever.
Com'in in Hot told me about 'em

It destroys the inside of the tire making non fixable. When I managed the Ford van for the Fish company I banned the stuff after loosing a copule tires.
It is great for an emergency but only if your then middle of nowhere or stuck in a vary bad place when you need to get out right away.
Ps: Years ago I started usinf nitrogen as opposed to "air" and found it better as in no more slow leaks! All jets and aircraft use it. It will not bleed through like regular air so it great if your car site for while. Not all shops have and it can cost $35. for all 4 wheels well worth it to me:)

Gez I hated to hear that story about the flat...happened to me with my '90 Lightning (only 4200 miles on the truck at the time) just when I was ready to roll out one beautiful morning...at least I was not out at midnight on I-35 hereabouts in the rain.
Been a while since that day...so I am keeping my fingers crossed and tires carefully monitored on the DRT '04 MM.
