i have what i believe to be a corvette block from the 80s or early 90s but im not sure. i didnt get this from the car it was originally in so i dont know what car it came out of for sure but i do know that mostly corvettes had the four bolt mains. i have the main caps and i have the block but thats it. the crank was in it but i had to scrap it because the block was next to impossible to lift with that in it and it had terrible bearings.

i only have two pictures of the block but i can get more if needed. i cleaned it in a heated parts cleaner but it needs to be professionally done and i didnt have the equipment for that. it is stock bore and there no cracks or anything seriously wrong with it. i paid $200 for it with the plans of dropping it into a 1988 monte carlo ss but that project fell short and was sold a few months back. i really just want it gone so i would openly bring it to you if youre close enough or at least meet you half way.

i dont know what to put as a price so just make an offer if youre interested and with the offer just let me know where youre located.

Its a 1980- 1985 350, could be two or four bolt, could have been from ANY Chevy but probably not a Vette, not that it really matters (the blocks are all the same). If the main caps are mixed up and not marked it will need to be line bored...$100 - $150 would be a good price. If you can get me the numbers off of the pad on the right front of the block I can tell you exactly what it came out of.

I guess ill go with 150 haha it was in a running car about 18 months ago so I had no idea what it came out of. I never knew how to look it up by the stamp. The second picture I posted isnt that the stamp you need ? I will have to look at the caps to see if they were marked.

I hate to bust anybody's bubble about 4 bolt 350's and Vette motors but back then almost every Chevy/GMC van, truck, etc with a 4bbl 350 was a four bolt main block. The totally garbage Target Master replacement engines were all 2 bolts from what I recall.
Still, truck or car,a 4 bolt 350 block is a nice starting point for an engine build.

They are good blocks to stroke 383,396 they handle higher rpm etc

I had an instructor at a tech school with a book of vins/block numbers and he said that the block I have was 80s and out of a car. I dont think it matters what it came out of as much as what it goes into. The internals, transmission, and rear end might have been of a truck but like he said they make great stroker motors cause they can withstand the high rpm and most likely they can simply withstand forced induction. I couldn't csre less what it came out of but thanks for the input.
