I got "LIL SiS" back Friday from the rebuild project.
It got a 90K motor transplant and the transmission got an overhaul.
My first impression after a few hundred miles driving this weekend;
Very pleased that the motor starts quick, idles smooth, and has no strange noises.
The major changes were restalling the OEM convertor with several other upgrades ; Brazing, bearings,friction surfaces increased.
The other major difference is the shifting; super abrupt and if you lay the go pedal down to the fibers, the rear tires go berserk from a dig & 1-2 shift is borderline ridiculous.
Big thanks to yjmud for his efforts getting "Lil SiS" breathing again! :beer:

Congrats Brad! Happy to hear it!
Q's:
Why did you put the stock converter back in? Why did the tranny need an overhaul? I thought you just had it done?

I'm guessing it's the GM LSE.
