i was parking in the lot at my job and we have a body shop along with the regular shop and there was a SB marauder in the lot waiting for body work.

the drivers front door had no molding on it and had a whole bunch of scratches on it. also there was what appear to be a broken front axle because the one wheel was twisted and the other side wasnt.

if this is anyones car on here then i want to talk to you about some of the stuff that was done haha im confused as to why some of these mods were made and how much they cost. the grille is kind of any idea i had but it looks a bit off now that i can see it. the mud flaps are also an interesting mod and would potentially help prevent some melted tire from reaching the exhaust and rear bumper cover. i have been contemplating getting a spoiler as well but i dont know if it looks good on the sb.

i also cant decide whether i want black or red calipers so what about pros/cons on those colors as well as the bumper inserts? i have 5% tint all the way around and i just got a spare set of stock wheels painted gloss black. not sure if i want to do black, red and silver or just black and silver.

Red calipers, okay.
Mudflaps on a Marauder? No thanks.
Black grille without the silver surround? Absotively not.

These cars have independent front suspension. There's no axle there. Most modern RWD cars are like that.
If one wheel was pointed a different way then the other, then a broken tie rod is the most likely suspect.

mudflaps tacky.
all Marauders should have come with a spoiler. get one, u will be happy.
IMHO red calipers played out. i plan on doing yellow ones when i get around to it, yellow or orange.

The grill...not a chance, the mudflaps...personal choice (it does keep the rockers nice, looks like a truck though)..the wing, they ALL need a wing!

I might be a little off subject but if that is in Philly I think that car just came from an auction. My assumption is someone bought it and is fixing it, or the dealership is fixing it. There was a SB with a black grill listed in an auction in early November that looked just like that. Glad to see someone is bringing it back to life! :)

Hmmm.. I like the way you think. Too many people have red. Post up pics when you do it.

Im not too familiar with this suspension because I never really looked at it. All I know for sure is about the rear because I replaced a bag and compressor.

Yea it was a little bit outside of philly in langhorne. I dont know what that is considered but it had a geico sign in the window and it was on the body shop side of the lot. It did habe a plate on it so the dealer doesnt own it.

Oh yea and the tire wasnt turned it was more like leaning. Im guessing control arm because if you look in the pictures I only got a picture of the drivers side but the passenger side front wheel is all messed up. Cant really see over the hood and fender but the top of the wheel was leaning outward.

Mary's SB has a Zack badgeless grill in satin black, but the surround is body colour. I put a slightly damaged all black one on for the winter so if a tooth gets busted out she doesn't care. It does change the look, though...

I really like the rear mudflaps. They will save your bumper big time from getting nailed if you run softer compound tires. A buddy of mine had the little baby ones on his 04' Mach. When we would get home from the track I would have to peel away all the masking tape from my rear bumper. He would watch me and chuckle, all his rubber from the slicks were caught on the little flaps.

Thats what ive been thinking. Im still stuck though because it looks a little bit corny on there.

That is the trick to it. The Mach that had them no one noticed because the car was black.

Maybe paint them?

You think silver mudflaps with black tire chunks all over them wouldnt be noticeable hahaha

Paint just the back side.

Paint just the back side.

Not a bad idea.. you think body paint would stick to it? Its going to be difficult getting the different textures to look the same. Ill have to look into it.
