Just a quick farewell message to thank everyone for all the great information on this site. The time has come to part with my Marauder after 3 years to go with something newer (getting a new Focus ST this week).
This site has been a great resource along the way, and has saved me many trips to the shop.
I do have one last parting question - Can anyone tell me if my SCT tuner from Lidio can be sold, or is it locked to my car? I'm trading the car in, and figure I'm better off selling this separately.
Thanks for everything. Merry Christmas!
Jeff

^^^ Sorry to hear it bud...but if you need to move on...best to ya!!

As far as the tuner goes; you must return your car to the stock program, and then the tuner will be unlocked and available to sell. (You may want to make note of the Computer Code on the inside pillar of the drivers door. The next buyer may need to know this). If you don't unlock it; you'll have trouble selling it.

Cheers from T.O.

I have an ST on order, but I'm still keeping the Marauder!
Are you on any of the ST sites, like ST Nation?

Can you re-program the flash tuner to work on the Focus? I've read they make tuners for Focus.

Yes, but the car has just recently started shipping.
There are many respected tuners out there that are developing tunes. I'm going to wait a while and see if the stock 252 hp is enough for a front wheel drive car. Torque steer...

Good luck jeffrt with your Focus ST.
Keep us posted on how much you like it!

I'm starting to look at the new Focus ST as a replacement for the wife's Legacy GT.

The Subie has 170,000 miles on it and still runs great, but it has developed an oil leak from the cylinder head directly onto the exhaust pipe = smelly odor everytime you stop at a traffic light.
Anyone attempted to work on a turbo flat 4 that is wedged between the frame rails?.....:shake:

The only problem is convincing Marianne that she wants a 6 speed stick shift....

Joe, there are lots of fun ways to have her practice shifting at home...:D

Maybe I could even convince her to like the "paddle shifter" and show her about "banging gears"......

I'm on ST Nation now. Another good spot, with lots of info so far. The only bad thing is seeing all these issues and ideas listed, and getting the wheels turning in my head before I even get my car. Ha ha.
I'm planning to keep it pretty much stock though, at least for a while anyway.
Have actually already sold the tuner!

Let's get the over/under going on the time before your first mod. I will start it at 13.5 days...:D

Yep,
I've got the luxury of waiting a while to see how much power can be wrung out of that little 2.0L 4 banger with mods.
Plus, FORD should take care of any problems that may crop up on the early models.

All the reviews of the ST have been very positive. Let us know how it works out. I have to admit, the thought of trading the Marauder in for one has crossed my mind...

You are so right!
I already have a Steeda rear sway bar hanging in my garage waiting for the ST that won't show up until February....Wall Art!

I may be interested in buying the tuner:) Sorry to hear your getting rid of the MM and hope you like the new Ford. Don't forget to stop by and say hi still

FYI - Tuner is sold. Had a few guys interested.
Put it back to stock last night. What a boring ride to work. Forgot how bad the stock tune is! LOL
I'll give you guys a report when I get the ST. Hoping to have it in a week or so. It's on a truck now apparently.
If I do any mods, it will have to be on the down low, as my wife will kill me. That was part of my reasoning for the ST - less tinkering. We'll see.......
