Hey guys i've heard this is the place to ask. Disaster has struck, my father's motor blew up the other night sending what looked to be a rod through the block. The Marauder is S/C with stock internals with 80,xxx miles on it. We would like some input as to a possible drop in solution. We live in CT and his Marauder is the only one around, so no help from any locals that i can find. Thanks guys

Source another Marauder engine... There are more than enough totaled ones! Also, figure out what caused your problem or you are likely to do it again.

If it's a short block you need M-6009-A46NA could be a good choice.

Mileage had nothing to do with it. Something failed you. What's your budget? If tight, just throw an 03/04 cobra short block in it if you want to be safe with plenty of room to grow. They can be had on the cheap with low miles and are plentiful. Good luck.

I have some Diamond big bore pistons for sale if you decide to build a motor, good to use with a FRPP Boss 302 block or Teksid block bored out will make a 5.0 and can use a stock Cobra forged crank.

Here's my two cents since I just went through this with my Aluminator.
First.....open up your MAF and see if you have oil in it.
My brand new Aluminator blew because oil blown out by the drivers side PVC valve covered the fuel air sensor and made it run to lean. 6000 miles and I melted a piston.
2 $5 catch cans for an air compressor could have saved it but I never new this was a problem until it happened.
We had a known engine house rebuild it better than before...with the catch cans installed. An expensive error....my personal opinion is that this was a trilogy oversight.
Of course everyone throws their arms up and says "that's crazy"! I wasn't looking to blame anyone as much as I wanted to document this so others could be spared the pain.
Just had the same engine dyno'd after the rebuild and it's pushing another 25 hp @ 8.5 lbs of boost.
You can't get the Aluminators from FMCC anymore. I wonder why.
Good luck. If you want, I'll send you the name of the guys who rebuilt the motor.
If you ship it to em....they'll do it right.

Where in CT are you? I'm fairly new to the DOHC game, I can probably come by and lend a hand once you figure out what your plan is.
