How much would you think it would cost to get the marauder's hood stripped down to the metal and re-primed and painted?

Why reprint it when you have a Chance for a cowl hood.

Dont know of a price, but you could save a few bucks by sanding it down yourself i would think

I paid $800 for my fiberglass hood to be stripped down, blocked repeatedly, and repainted.

I scratched the **** out of it all the way down to the glass the first week, and a year later it all shrank anyway. Looks like complete crap now. I don't even care anymore, every time I get something looking good, either myself or someone else makes the car worse than it was. Bad carma.

Paint it DTR. It takes away 23hp and 17tq. But the paint holds up.

As a DTR owner I think the paint holds up because the vehicle never goes through the sonic boom stage thus the paint never has the levels of pressure other colored MM's reach.
Some like it slow and steady.

I get tired of looking at the same things on my DTR...and so I asked my body shop guy about redoing the hood (taking the painted DTR XR-7 G hood scoop off) and returning it to the original DTR...would be somewhere around $600-$700.
Money is tight of course so...not sure yet.
