As I was doing my Eaton swap I noticed my org alternator making a little noise like the bearings could be on their way out. I tried to have it rebuilt locally but that didn't workout to well so based on reviews from this site I bought one from DB electric. When it arrived it had a big sticker that said "Made in China". That made me a little nervouse. Plus the Ford dealership couldn't remove the oneway pulley. So I returned it. Based on reviews on SVTperfomance.com I bought one from Eagle Electric on eBay. The guy was super cool and sent it with a pulley from a 05 f150 that's needed for a eaton swap. 10,000 miles later it's dead and he's no where to be seen. SeeIng similar stories on SVTperfomance also. So it looks like thats no longer a option.

I've heard nothing but bad things about the ones from autozone, etc.

Does anybody know if the Mach 1 alternator is the same as ours? I can get one from ford reasonably priced and it doesn't come with the oneway pulley. Any other recomdations?

I would give DB electric another try and take it to an alternator/starter shop to have the pulley removed, that's what I did

Guys are awesome to deal with. Had a prob with it after a year, didn't have the receipt, they found my purchase on their own and emailed me to ship it to them and they fixed it, shipped it back on their dime. Big thumbs up!
