One of the local private schools had me bring in my ride to show the kids. The science teacher was teaching physics, acceleration, etc.
The kids were impressed and asked some good questions.

The teacher is going to take them on a class trip to a Top Fuel race as well.

My high school physics teacher had a 72, 454, 4 speed, Vette.

He had us calculate his acceleration between the speed bumps at school.

This is the same guy who had us making Apple Jack for a project.

My high school physics teacher perhaps was the worst teacher I ever had at any level of academia...ah but...when I got to college and took physics again...both profs were really creative in their approach to teaching that subject...although not quite as much as seen in what you were able to do to help young minds think outside the text.
And speaking for my wife...an ex-public school principal...great teachers are forever...and so is their influence on their students' lives.
