For those of you that have replaced your OEM mufflers with Magna Flows or Flowmasters What did you use for muffler hangers? Were you able to utilize the original hangers or did you have to replace them. I would like to use Ford factory hangers if possible. if not the originals than a Ford product that will work. Any help and info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'll have to crawl under tomorrow. I remember the tech at C&M mention he didn't like the instructions for that part, and didn't want to spoil the polished finish and moved the hangers somehow....now you got me wondering?

The muffler shop that installed the Flowmasters on my 1st '92 GMLS welded the hangers to them to simulate the "factory fit".

I used the muffler hangers that are sold on www.summitracing.com
they required no welding, but merely a couple holes to be drilled, and they worked very well.

Mixed bag there. Some installers have welded the single hanger to the muffler. Some of us have converted to the '02 style hanger with two per muffler and then had both hangers welded to the muffler while others have had the hangers welded to the flange.
I used these 2 hangers at the rear of the mufflers #F8AZ5C263AA for left side and F8AZ5260AB for the right. They came with the rubber insulatrors on them. The installer will need to make a rod to attach the muffler to the rubber insulator on the hanger. The hangers line up to holes already made in rear crossmember just infront of the diff.
