Question about Trilogy...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the differences are between a Trilogy (eaton) and a straight up Eaton? I know the inlet is on the driver's side on the Trilogy, but could we make a new inlet for the Eaton so it comes in on the driver's side as well? Do we have any side by side comparison pics or measurements on the two?

Hi Curless... The differences are just what you described... All the engineering that went into measuring and proofing out of what where back in early Marauder days, custom parts (that eventually were reproduced some 235-250 times {slightly diff parts for the TwinScrew I think}).

Don't know if they are patented. Don't know if anymore parts can be made, but PM Jerry Barnes ( He invented the Trilogy kit with the Eaton Blower, with a tune from Lideo) with your interest.... Like you, he's an MI guy and is great to deal with.

The work Jerry and his team did are the reasons why Trilogy cars are popular among the Marauder enthusiasts..... Looks OEM, performs well out of the box and is reliable. As you know from being in the hotrod biz, lots of $$$, time and effort went into every nut/bolt & process to get these precisely the way they are..... :burnout:

I have spoke to Jerry, and Lidio. They are great people with incredible knowledge. Jerry is not interested in building another run of blowers or any of the parts. I love the thought of a blower but I really like the look of the Trilogy.

A few more differences between an Eaton swap and Trilogy.

The Trilogy snout is longer too. And the Trilogy uses a blower adapter plate to bolt to the lower intake manifold.

So is it an Eaton or a Maggie...or is a Maggie an eaton as well as a Trilogy?

Its a magnuson case with eaton rotors. The outlet on the magnuson is long and thin and the Ford eaton short and fat. Which one is better who knows. The ford inlet is better for making more power/boost.

Trilogy's pop up for sale every once in a great while either as blower only or new uninstalled kits. It would be a wise move to just plan for an Eaton swap now. I am the only one I know of to score a complete used low mileage T kit in the last 10 years...

other Mustang forums may have F/S sections that'll list blowers, etc.

Kee in mind that it's more than bolting on a blower. You'll need to swap out the lower intake manifold, install an intercooler and associated heat exchanger components, upgrade your fuel delivery system, etc.
