*** Back up for sale! Buyer fell thru, PRICE DROPPED to $16.9/ best offer on ebay, $1k off for MM.net members ($15.9k)***

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111037585336&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1 123#ht_500wt_1182

Change of plans for me so;

2004 Trilogy MM for sale, Black with grey interior 88.7k miles

$18.5k/ best offer

I bought the vehicle from a member here in Sept.

I have just put an all new oem suspension on the car (4 shocks, front springs, control arms and sway bar links) car was also aligned. Around $1500 spent. Also did new front rotors and pads a month ago.

I installed a GT fuel pump, new plugs, fuel and oil filters and changed oil.

I installed a Pioneer App radio nav/Bluetooth receiver.

I had the car tuned by Shaun at AED in Sacramento just after I bought it, it's awesome.

Prior owner was very meticulous, had the trilogy kit installed and trans rebuilt and kept service records.

I just had the car smoged in CA and paid registration good thru 11/2013. (Huge plus for CA buyers...)

Questions, interest email me at JDenning002@yahoo.com

Thanks.

John

Couple of questions:
You bought it 3 months ago and are selling it already?
You bought it for $15k and are selling it for $18.5k?
Just asking the questions...

Kind of what I was wondering.
He'll claim that he should get the $ he spent on suspension maintenance, tune and other costs back and that the price is o/b/o.
There's a reason the car didn't sell for almost 2 months at 15k, because that was pushing the envelope for a car with that mileage and minimal mods other than the trilogy.
Lower mileage or built drivetrain and you'd be in the ballpark.

He should just list it for less than he paid, then let everyone beat his price down even further, keep this in mind when you post something for sale. Also...... there is no need to trash his F.S. thread, if it's too much, move on, if you want to ask a question about the price, PM the OP......

Im currently not in the market for one but it certainly seems like u'd get a car that is ready to drive.... as is no mods needed...

Yes I agree, the car has had some nice work done to it and its completely road worthy. No, I don't think he'll get all of the $$$ he put into it back out but he has to start somewhere...

Lets see, under 90,000 mile car ($10,000- $13,000)...Previous owner put a new trans in $2500, Trilogy $6500, This owner put in all new suspension and brakes ($1500-$1800), Custom tune ($250-$500), Fuel pump, filters, and the audio stuff ($750 -$1000).....So you basically have a $24,000 car and you guys don't think its worth $18,500???

+2!!! Appraising a vehicles asking price, or offering your opinions on a for sale price on a vehicle you have no intention of buying is pure bs..... Wake up people.

We all have a opinions on lots of stuff.... Not everything we have an opinion on, needs to be shared. Especially where the price of a Marauder is concerned when a member is attempting to sell his car......... Let the interested parties do their own due diligence, get comfortable with what the car is and negotiate without all this "noise"....

Sorry guys but this is my major pet peeve with this community. Absolutely no need for this crap..... I know, I know, nobody asked me......

Sorry for the de-rail...... GLWS jdenning002

the price of the car had little to do with the hesitation on my part. I thought 15k was a steal, especially for a trilogy supercharger.

in the end, though, it came down to logistics. had Juice & I lived closer together, I think a deal might have happened. as it turned out the Marauder I ended up getting (in my signature) was only a couple miles away & was a "can't miss" opportunity

so long story short, I kind of forgot where I was going with this but good luck with the sale. that is still a really nice Mercury Marauder!

I know John and he is pretty meticulous, anal and passionate about his cars. He doesn't skimp or cut corners and does it right. This is the same guy that had a Paxton MM 4V powered Crown Vic, sold it then bought a Marauder then swapped an eaton into it then sold it and bought a new 5.0 and dropped a SC 5.4 out of Shelby GT500 then sold it and bought a Dodge RT then bought Juices marauder......whew. I wouldn't hesitate buying a car from John and he's probably put quite a bit of $$$ into this Marauder to get it to where it is now. BTW, shaun at AEDHP.com that did the tune is the best in NorCal period.

GLWS bud you still owe me a ride in it though!

Thanks for all the support everyone.

To answer any questions that haven't been addressed, I am selling because I am in the market for an F250 or F350 and cant justify keeping the MM as well with two daily drivers for my wife and I. I don't have to sell the car, but would like to. There are no issues with the car whatsoever, it's really a nice vehicle, not only thanks to me, but thanks to Juice.

I am open to reasonable offers, don't hesitate. And I don't think my starting price is too far off.

We need to start a new trend. If a seller puts his Marauder on the sale list he needs to put a real low price and we can bump it up to what it should be.

Ok so now I'm looking at the eBay post on a regular PC and it says Buyer Responsible for pickup/shipping

but looking at the post on a mobile device, it says free shipping. something must have got screwed up on the mobile device.

Anyways, I said it before and I'll say it again: that's a sweet ride and I hope it goes to someone in the family. GLWS
