Hi New Englanders!
Looking for a shop to fix my EATC by Spring. All I get is hot air blowing out of the defrost like many others. Any honest shops or individuals that may specialize replacing the O-rings or what ever is required without charging an arm & leg?
Rhode Island would be great but willing to travel to eastern Mass or eastern CT.
Thanks for any input.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all!

Are you willing to remove it and ship it somewhere ? Is it required to stay in your car?

I can fix it for you. Just send it to me. Or I can send a repaired one (core charge required).

I can fix it no problem. I have the o rings in stock. My shop is in hanover ma. Kevin 781-844-4597.
Looks like ^ he's about an hour drive from you and has a shop. FBM is very reputable in this fix also. Not bad, you have two good options now.

Thanks for all the tips. After seeing a How To link with pics on the forum, it actually looks easy enough for anyone to just replace the o-rings, unless I'm missing something?
A drive to Hanover is no problem either. Thanks Kevin, I'll let you know if I need you. You do 4:10 gears?

If anyone needs a few O-rings, PM your mailing address. Since they come in packages of 100, I have a few extra. They are the red silicone ones.

Sunny Beautiful Day!!
I finally got some time to play with this EATC. Thanks to Black Noise's instructions and pics in another thread.
I couldn't believe what a simple job it was. Although I sort of lost hope when I looked at the OEM rings, they looked fine...clean, didn't see any cracks and they didn't seem dry or brittle. I replaced the o-rings, put everything back together, started my baby and VOILA! Heat out of the vents instead of the defrost, switched to floor, tested the AC. All works perfectly!
Thanks to all who participate in all the help on this forum. It truly is a money saver and a great resource even for non-mechanics like me.
Next job is replacing my idler pulley and/or tensioner. It's making a little whining noise. A quick stop at the shop I go to, the mechanic said it's most likely the idler pulley but he wasn't 100% sure without using his stethoscope. I have an appointment Monday but plan to look though the forum to see if it's simple enough to do myself.
Thanks again for all the help available here. You guys/gals are great!
Happy Pete

After further reading & learning and a little motivation, both idler pulleys, tensioner and belt replaced :)
The noise that started this thread turned out to be the tensioner pulley.
Thanks again!
