Tranny not going into gear

I have been working to put my car together the past few days and I have run into some problems. I think most of them are related to the PATS system. The other day my trunk would not unlock from inside the car or outside. A buddy of mine was working on the wiring harness on the VIPER alarm system and he opened it.

Today the trunk didn't want to open again, the doors will not lock or unlock from the inside or outside unless I use the key. The keypad will not unlock the door or trunk and the tranmission will not go into reverse, drive etc. Also the a/c doesn't blow very hot air. I did drain the radiator so there is probably air in the system. Would that cause the lack of hot air?

Also I can't find the convertor drain plug. I removed the rubber plug and turned the engine all the way around by hand and I also bumped the engine with the key. I know there is one down there but I can't find it. I don't want to bother my friend because it is Christmas. Any help you guys can give me will be appreciated.

May need the keys reprogrammed for the PATS system.

May have air in the cooling system or the blend door actuator isn't working. Get the air out first then retry.

There is no drain plug in the convertor.

Thanks for the help. The blend door has been acting up some and I am trying to replace it. The air will change from the vent to floor to defrost etc. but if you watch the arm on the blend door it will not move. I thought that if the arm doesn't move then air won't be able to switch between the vents.

No, the blend door controls hot & cold air.

Bad o-rings will not let the vacuum doors operate to get the air to the vents, floor, etc.

There is no drain plug in the convertor.Correct. It was decontented in 2001.
