I know some of you have them, so maybe I can get some input.........is a momentary contact switch preferred? Or is a toggle switch preferred? I'm thinking on mounting the switch in my a-pillar gauge pod (part 2!), just wondering if anyone has experimented with both switches? I'm leaning towards toggle for the moment.....

Is that a couple line-locks? If yes, why 2, installing 1 in another of your vehicles also?

Correct they are line lock valves/solenoids, installing one on each front brake line after the ABS HCU, eliminate any possible issues and make sure they work right the first time.

1964 Chevelle Malibu, 2 door hard top. Original white paint, original red interior, 283 with the 3 on the tree. It's a blast to drive! I got it through the family, it belonged to my grandma's brother, he bought it brand new in Stephenville TX. While going through some stuff, I found the original owners manual and paperwork, the first insurance card that he got on the vehicle, and the original "thank you" letter from Chevrolet. I framed all of the paperwork for car shows. The paint.....was in pretty rough shape, but all original. I bet I spent 3 days straight with a buffer and several different compounds to get the shine back and the surface rust out, and polish up all of the chrome. The door jams still looked perfect, and the trunk still looks brand new. I wanted to keep everything original, so I've stayed with it so far, I sandblasted the intake, air cleaner, and valve covers and repainted them original colors, rebuilt the original carb, and put together a radiator with a new core using the original tanks. The interior was in pretty good shape except for the driver door panel, driver seat cover and bottom cushion, but have all new parts from YearOne. It's got 4 wheel drum, and I was super close to doing the disc conversion, but, wanting to keep it original, I just rebuilt everything stock. This spring we are going to pull it out of storage, and I'm pulling the engine and transmission out, going to do full rebuilds on both and have the car repainted, to original paint code of course. Just have to stick to my plan and rebuild the 3 speed, and resist the urge to throw an auto in it. The only thing not stock on this car will be the exhaust! I'm sure I missed a few things, any other questions just ask! I do have some pictures that I will post, as soon as I find em!

It would be nice if you could finish it up before the Hot Rod magazine Power Tour starts up in Arlington, TX. The last stop is in Charlotte, NC on June 7th I believe, so that is a little bit of a haul. I live in Eastern NC but I plan on going to the cruise in.

BTW my mom had a '67 and '69 back in the day and she got rid of them because they kept blowing head gaskets. When I found out about that I almost cried :bigcry:. I think the '69 was a convertible.

I wired mine into the rear defrost button, which is a toggle switch....If you're using two, will they be wired together, requiring just one switch??If that's the case,I'd go toggle ..If it's two switches, push button (momentary).

If you use a momentary switch you'll have to hold it until you want to release the brakes.

Why two? I thought you only need one for the front brakes.

Two have been recommended in the past on cars with traction control.

I mounted mine in the A pillar above the top gauge on the left and a near identical black Bluetooth mic on the right.

I used basically a door bell switch from Home Depot that cost about $4. ZERO regrets, love it. I'll get a pic up tonight or tomorrow for you.

Thank you! That's where I'm thinking about mounting my switch as well, don't want to drill holes in anything factory. All of my gauges showed up today, just waiting on the pillar to get here, and a little free time! Waiting on mufflers as well, had plans to get gears from Sparta and a tune from MartyO this month, but those plans have been pushed to next month, can't wait for those!
