Anybody using these MGP caliper covers

Not using them, but i know a lot of guys frown upon them....i personally would just paint the calipers, like i did.

Ok cause I painted mine prepped all and there flakin off and I did use ceramic caliper paint. Now why would they frown apon? Heat?

Utterly DUMB is why. What paint did you use? Did you remove them from the car to thoroughly clean and allow sufficient time for curing?

I used G2 almost four years ago and got three solid years of shine before they started to flake here and there. Just enough time to get rid of the poser red I used to think looked good. Now all I have to do is sell the wife on dark grey or black as she still likes the red accent...

Alright just wasn't sure price too I'm sure.....whatever one advance sells dupicolor maybe?I prepped good and prep sol....I'm a collision tech so I mean I used the right stuff maybe just didn't use the brand or maybe didn't prep right for ceramic....just thought that was a cool alternative especially being able to custom write on it.....

I think it would look cool with MARAUDER on them, just wondering if black lettering would look better than the silver or white, and if they keep brake dust down thats a big plus.

I did the duplicolor ceramic kit and got almost 1.5 yrs before they flaked. Going to get them powdercoated now. Thinking about gold calipers with black brackets.

Take them off the car, clean them thoroughly with degreaser and a good stiff brush, followed by soap and water, and then repeat. If you think they're clean, repeat at least one more time.

I used G2 paint, and they've held up well, a little flaking last year, but a good cleaning and touch up has taken care of that.
