For you guys that might want a family hauler that can haul that's made by Ford I thougth I'd share.

My car is a 2011 Ford Flex Ecoboost Titanium AWD
I've added a simple air intake, an exhaust cutout and tuning for E35 along with E85 in the separate nitrous fuel system with a 75 shot.

I get to surprise people here and there, without the nitrous and the basic mods it runs 13.1@105 here in horrible air Phoenix, good for mid 12's at a decent track. :)

SWEET!

Way to represent a fine FORD product!

Nothing like whuppin' a Crapmaro SS with a boxy family hauler (packin' a twin turbo EcoBoost :D )

BTW: Did the Camaro driver throw his Dale Earnhart baseball cap onto the track in disbelief and disgust!?

He and his friends kind of laughed at me when I asked him to race, he wasn't giggling after. :)

I second the motion.

I have an Ecoboost Lincoln MKS and it's astonishingly quick... and it's still stock.

Bet it won't be for long!:banana2:

It's exceptionally hard to find an ecoboost flex in these parts on a dealer lot, and it's a shame because I really like those things. :/

Awesome!!

Silly question, why back into the water box with an AWD? Bet you lost a 10th or 2 with the tire spin I heard.

Awesome! A Flex is going to be the new baby hauler once we trade in the Fusion. My wife's already sold on AWD (the Fusion has it) and I've pretty much convinced her we need the EcoBoost engine, too.

I love the EB Flex. I really wanted one, but then the wife got into an Expedition.

BTW, I think it's worth the price of admission at that track just to see the water box girl doing her little dance...

I didn't back into the water box, I backed to just before it to give me room to spool and clean off the tires. :)

Question:
I saw video mentioned Bigger turbo's in the worx... I figure a properly tuned EcoBoost w/ a Turbo upgrade would be awesome...
Any plans you willing to discuss..?

Right now I have a pair of stockers being upgraded to allow for more boost, the GT15's are small but I'm hoping to break 500WHP with the turbo upgrade and fuel upgrades I'm doing so I can run E85.

Next step will be to upgrade the pistons/rods with ones that are coming out and then move to a big single in the future. I have to get the AWD system worked out so I can either force FWD or an always on AWD vs the FWD then AWD once FWD loses traction.

For whatever reason, engaging the parking brake just a click disables the AWD, and just the fronts smoke. So, if you wanted to force just FWD, that might get you a way to fool it.

Thanks for the tip, I tried it and that worked however the traction control still engaged. I'm going to try it again but with front ABS sensors unplugged. Looking for where they are now. :)

No joy with ABS sensors unplugged, went into limp home mode. Back to the drawing board.
