I had a small leak at the block adapter for my remote oil filter installation so I decided to disassemble it and see what was wrong........what a mess!!:argue:
When I removed the 4 foot hoses from the adapter they got kinked pretty bad so I decided to just go back to the OEM filter for now and remove the remote for a later installation.......
When I removed the adapter from the block it also removed the filter nipple......ugh!!
After a couple more hours of frustration I was back to "normal" with the OEM FL-820S mounted in it's "Snuggy Place"...what a pain to get to!!:mad2:
When I started the car the OP Gauge pegged at 100 PSI.......WOW!! With the remote it was only about 65-70 PSI cold!!
Hot pressure is about the same at idle around 25-30 PSI........but 65-70 PSI at 2500 RPM's.......clearly 15-20 PSI higher than with the remote.....WOW AGAIN!!:eek:
I guess the 4 feet of hose caused a lot of pressure loss......not dangerous but still MORE than I expected!!
