Sticky buttons

My steering wheel stereo control buttons have become sticky. I believe they have a rubber coating on them.
And no I haven't been eating taffy (or anything else) in my car but I do use those 2 buttons more than any other in the car.
Question is, has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a fix?
Are they available new?

I Got some "awesome" from the dollar store. Put a little on a rag with a little pressure and the coating was gone. Buttons have been fine every since

Gary.....that buildup is oil and gunk from your fingers and can be removed with lighter fluid and a little rubbing......they will look NEW when you finish!!:beer:
