They were more MM produced in 2003 than in 2004. It looks like yours is a 2003 based on the production number.

That number is the total MM's produced in 2003.... not the total number of MM's produced in 2003 & 2004.

Found this in a sticky.............

Production numbers for the Mercury Marauder:
2003 - 7839 (327 Blue, 417 Silver, 7094 black)
2004 - 3213 (981 DTR, 987 Silver, 1245 Black)

Total production, 03 and 04 was 11,052

Marauder 328 Blue exterior
Marauder 417 Silver Birch exterior

2004
Marauder 1236 Black exterior. (As of June 2004): 1059 with charcoal interior, 842 have CD changers, 873 have heated seats. 147 with flint interior, 105 have CD changers, 100 have heated seats.

Marauder 980 Red exterior. (As of June 2004): 565 with charcoal interior, 457 have CD changers, 505 have heated seats. 398 with flint interior, 293 have CD changers, 270 have heated seats.

Marauder 997 Silver Birch exterior. (As of June 2004): 525 with charcoal interior, 422 have CD changers, 439 have heated seats. 448 with flint interior, 332 have CD changers, 304 have heated seats.

These numbers add up to:

2003 - 7839

2004 - 3213

Total Production: 11052

The sticky that fastblackmerc is quoting in post #8 pre-dates the numbers provided by FPG. The sticky info is old info from December 2004. DTRs = 980. DBP = 328.

The "V" in the VIN is the code for the 4.6L DOHC.

The numbers they have for 2003
112699 grandma rquis built
42556 GS
70143 LS of which 10.86% were Marauder option which = 7617.5

This has been confirmed and signed by the great Elena Ford so please adjust your numbers accordingly :p
