My MM rims look like azz,Is it possible to polish them myself or will a pro do a much better job?How costly is it to have them polished profesionaly?

Polish them yourself. Use whatever you'd use on the painted surfaces of the car.

Depends on how bad they really are. If they are just dirty what the above said will most likely work fine. You may find it easier to polish better if you take the wheels off the car and set them flat on some saw horses.

If they are scratched up or the clear coat is lifting a pro will do a better job. No idea on pro price.

if the clear coat on the wheels is actually peeling off, or if the aluminum underneath the clear is oxidizing, they need to be refinished. a place by me quoted me $180 a wheel for a total repolish and a clear powdercoat finish on top.

Wash
claybar (look up instructions on youtube)
polishing compound (smoothing out clear coat.) Orbital polisher is possible.
synthetic Sealant. Orbital polisher if possible.


After that keep em looking great with a monthly wash and s100 motorcycle protectant. Will hold up to winter road salt for 2-4 weeks. I usually do 4.
