firstly let me say HELLO to everyone i haven't been on in a long time... I'm thinking long and hard (i know...That what she said) about selling my '03 MM black 95k miles with no mods and ext. warranty until aug. 2013 or 102,000 miles. I recently got it out the shop because of overheating (fan replaced), brake master cylinder leak, battery/oil gauge light replacement, air filter and the bill from Pines Ford was $2,200 , but i only pay $100 deductible and $34 for air filter. I love the car the 6 years i have had it but do i want to pay repair bills like this once warranty expires. SHOULD i SALE now and get more money since my warranty is transferable ???? Even though i don't like any other cars enough to buy one.

My opinion you just answered your own question. I have had some many repairs over the last 5 months its been driving me nuts, but I should be set for a while now. Like you not many cars float my boat like this at least not ones I can afford that can double as fun and family

There is no common motor or transmission problems with these cars as far as cooling you should do the rear cylinder cooling mod. The only thing that this car will get you on Is tires and other small things that we will tell you how to do

If you go supercharged then you can start to worry about your motor and transmission

I ended up selling my because it got more costly in the repair bills than an actual car payment on a more reliable car.
While I think that my car is the exception to the rule, I'd also say that following a similar course of action is nothing to be ashamed of.
Bottom line, if you feel that your pocket book can't keep up with your desire to keep the car, you are probably right in wanting to move on.

Sell. You would be selling something. Sorry, peeve.
I would hold onto the car until the warranty is gone. There is such little left I don't see it as being an added value for a sales point.

In all fairness, that'd be like 6 months of coverage for a typical DD (statistically speaking).
It's worth something, but not a huge sum IMO.
EDIT: Also, given the above, I'd be pretty upset if I had to make serious use of the warranty within 6 months of buying the car.

Without the warranty I'm for sure i would not have the car more than a year!!!

Anyone selling their Marauder is a slap in the face to car culture.

But when the warranty expires find somewhere else to repair your car and learn to tackle some small things yourself. Not many people can afford to get charged like what you say Pines Ford is billing.

From my experience unless you driving off road in the MM you'll be fine with it. Normal upkeep on it and it'll last you a long time. One member here almost to 300k (maybe at it) and he said he's done nothing but typical tune up stuff.
Keep it. You said there isn't nothing else you like anyway

Good advice... the dealer probably charges $130-50 per hour labor charge. And i really need to learn and do small repairs

I don't have an MM, but I'm not selling my 64 Galaxie for any reason.
Let the kids do what they want with the car when I'm gone.
Not selling on my watch.

Really you should keep it. OK $1050.00 sold. I will come get it. Don't sell it to Darren, I want to give it to him for his next birthday. Did someone say Pearl White??????
