these are my headers after i had them ceramic coated. i wanted to do something different. so i went with a satin finish. it is still a 2,000 degree coating just like jet hot. the color is called bright silver. i had them done at custom concepts in detroit. the website is ccperformance.com. the owners name is curt, and he was more than helpful. he even let me drop the headers off at his house just so i didnt have to drive to detoit. everything went great, and the price to have them coated was great. the headers look beautiful. no blemishes or any imperfections. he had them done very quickly even with me getting them to him on the holidays. he does awesome work and offers powder coating, and offers a great slection of different ceramic colors. i hope this generates more buisness for him. thanks curt.

I hate the look of the natural finish on headers! :puke:

You're going to love them!

Thanks doom. Yours look great too. I already love them. I took it for a drive yesterday and what a difference it did for the car. I love it.

What brand are they? Their long tubes will provide more tq and mid range power, just what heavy, auto trans Marauder needs.

You still waiting until the spring to get on the dyno?

na svt, if you are asking me? mine are stainless works. and yes i am gonna wait till spring to take it to alternative to get the car tuned loud2004marquis. from the short drive i did take, i noticed a huge difference. when i pulled out of my driveway, i floored it and it went sideways down the street til it hit the rev limiter. it would never do that before haha. thanks guys im really happy with the color.

by the way. is it bad if my car does hit the rev limiter for a brief second before it shifts into second gear. it doesnt seem like it does it everytime. it obviously only does it when i have it to the floor and hold it.

One thing to keep in mind, the headers are letting the car breathe much better, hence it'll be runnng on the lean side with your current tune, this will be more of a issue at WOT than partial or cruising.

FWIW, I'd hold off on the WOT until getting your dyno tune.

BTW, the headers look great with the coating.

Thanks for the advice. I got it on the street and I couldn't help it. I gave it WOT a few times. But I'm done till the weather breaks and I get a re tune

SC Cheesehead, what do you think about the car hitting the rev limiter? Is that normal now just because it is reving so much easier?

That could be, also, if the tires are breaking loose, it'smuch easier to hit the reve limiter.

Yea, good point. It doesn't bother me as long as I'm not hurting anything...but I guess that's what a rev limiter is for. :D

Who did your ceramic coating and how much did it cost? How do they look now after running the car and do they feel as hot as the manifolds did?

Custom concepts in Detroit did it. You can call curt at 1313-369-2447. He will be more than happy to help you out. They are still the exact same color and texture as they were when he first did them. And they will stay that way as long as they are on the car. I noticed minimal heat coming from the engine compartment when the engine was running, but you will feel more heat being radiated from headers vs manfolds coated or not. There is a lot more material to a header vs a manifold as headers are thinner so they will heat up faster than a thick cast iron manifold. But they will cool down a lot quicker. I will not tell you how much it was for my particular job, but it was about half of what stainless works charges for jet hot coating. (Nothing against stainless works) You will get a very reasonable quote from custom concepts. Give them a call.

This time of the year mine bangers the limiter every time I see second..

Good to hear I'm not the only one. I can't imagine what a blower would make it do
