Lol ...... There I was faking a temp tag out of the FedEx box Marty sent to complete transaction.......a fight breaks out in the parking lot behind me.....half a dozen police cars show up and block me in...... I wait till the craziness clears and then clear sailing back to GA (13 hours).
I little longer ride but much more comfortable than my usual commute on Delta.

car has the 4.6 v8. Runs on regular gas. tires are 225/60-17 stock. gas milage is 17 city and anywhere between 24-26 highway. Has factory keyless entry with two fobs and keys. Heat and AC work 110%. All windows and locks work like new at full speed. I believe towncars starting in 2003 use the stronger 31 spline rear end.

I'd love to have that car, but with my 64 Galaxie, 04 Lincoln LS, 2010 Explorer, and 2003 TBird retro, I'm plum out of space.

64 Galaxie is my classic show car

03 TBird retro is my top down, Sunday/nice weather cruiser

Explorer 4X4 is my "pack up for Wildwood, NJ", park anywhere, and "shovel snow?? why??" car

and

the LS is just plain fun to drive

This is a daily.

I changed teh trans fluid, do regular oil changes, etc. That's it except that I added a PIE adapter for my iPhone, a bracket to hold it and took out the trunk mounted CD changer.

I have put 20,000 miles on it already.

Now if you want to swap me the '04 for the '99 we have something to talk about!

Where in north Jersey? Town or County will do. I'm in Bergen county.

I'm really not in the market, but I hear more and more concerns from folks about maintaining their Lincoln LS (and retro TBirds) as they age.

I have just about the same miles on my LS.

But, there are times I miss my 1989 Towncar.

I'm in Paramus.

My last ten years working, I worked out of Lincoln Harbor (PaineWebber, who then became UBS), in Weehawken. (Chart House, Houlihan's, Ruth's Chris area)

Our department was just set to relocate to Jersey City when they delayed the relo and started downsizing the following week. I never made it to Jersey City.

Do you ever attend the Saturday night carshow at the Whiskey Cafe, Lyndhurst?

I'm there almost every Saturday, mostly with the Galaxie, every now and then with my 2003 TBird.

Honestly, if you can believe it, she dislikes air fresheners. She's afraid of any and all artificial smells, except of course, perfume. Go figure.

If we get it, just pop it out of there.......

Marty didn't believe in air fresheners either..........until after my 13 hour drive from NJ to GA.
I texted Marty every time I stopped at Taco Bell for another bean burrito............he was very concerned:bigcry:
When I arrived....and he opened the door.......it was all good:beer:
It just smelled like someone had crapped a pine tree:lol:

I guess that is why he still has one hanging in the car.....a year later:lol:

No, it is because I have developed a taste for Taco Bell myself!

No kidding! And she just unexpectedly got a check for 5K in the mail from an Uncle's estate. I could probably get around $3000-3500 all day long for our old 99 Town Car! :mad2:

No brainer in my book!

Cant beleive this car hasent left yet. Had a guy 2 days ago that came to check it out and wanted to buy the car. Offered me $7400 cash for his limo company. Calls me the next day to tell me that his supervisor was not going to pay 7400 for an 04. Then he said he will pay 7000. My dad turned it down. Guy was full of ****.

tbone, this car is still waiting on you.
