Already thinking of spark plugs and I should be running 11s this year. Those with 11 second cars what plugs do you use?

I am currently using NGK, but haven't been too happy with them. I went though two sets in 12 months and was really thinking about going back to Autolites, but wasn't sure if this was a good idea.

What are you running?

What kind of NGKs are you using?

There is V-Power, G-Power, Iridium IX, and then their Racing series. (from lowest to highest)

TR6's are still A-ok at those levels. What are yours currently gapped at too.

I run the tr6 gapped at .025 anything over that it blows the spark.
A good friend of mine is running the Denso it24 with success on a 20psi turbo mod. Im trying those next.
If you have boost and nitrous i would reccomend the the BFR7 from NGK.

I'm NA and run the Iridium IX TR6 plugs gapped at .036. Even though they come pre-gapped and you are not suppose to mess with Iridium plugs, I still checked mine and some were off by .002

A diesel engine in a MM would be kinda cool though.

The 3.6L Lion V8 twin turbo diesel Ford uses in Europe for the Range Rover/Sport has 268hp and 472tq. The 4.4L Lion V8 TT diesel has 340hp and 516tq.

We have used the NGKs in thousands of applications. If you are going through plugs like that I'd look for other problems.

A picture of the plugs when you take them out can help determine what is going on.

NGK TR6's should work fine.

However our 03' Cobra has ran like **** since I got it last year and have been chasing a miss through tuning and other various things. Turns out, our 03' HATES the NGK's. I ran a set of Autolite xp103 iridium and the car runs PERFECT now. Weird considering I ran TR6's in our last Terminator with 0 issues. Apparent some mod motors just don't like them?

I haven't had any issues with my Iridium TR6 plugs, been using them for the last 150k miles or so.

The Iridium seem to be the ticket in some cars. I went with the autolites simply because I got them for only 39$ shipped from rockauto, cheaper than the TR6i's

Dom, my car probably shouldn't even be down in the 12.1 range, but consistently is. All I use is autolites, never an issue gapped at 32. After two years of use (reggaped every spring) I replaced them for no real reason, they would have probably served another two years at 12 or so thousand/year.

I ran the NGK TR6's gapped at .032 for two months (2000 miles) and everytime i put the car in park, the idle would shoot up to 1100 to 1200 till i turned it off. Finally, got tired of it , and just put my E3's back in this past weekend and the idle is back to normal.
