Ok guys i have a question to ask you'll my 4.6 V8 motor in my Marauder has went out and i was told that the Lincoln Navigator motor which is a 5.4 V8 DOHC 32 Valve would fit into my marauder? Now is this correct or would modifications need to be done?

No that is not correct, the 5.4 DOHC is too wide of a motor to fit.

What happened to your current motor?

peps have put 5.4L motor in the panther platform but its not a bolt in...lots of custom work... expensive conversion... pretic if u want the DOHC version

The 5.4 SOHC motor fits width wise but the DOHC does not.

You might be thinking of the Lincoln Aviator, believe that is the
4.6 dohc motor.

Aluminators are no longer made and a built engine cost an ***load of cash, if the car is an n/a, DD then an engine from an Aviator or an auto tran Mach 1 will be a good, affordable replacement.

Actually, if I would have "just" built a forged motor, the price would have been in line with an Aluminator. When I started stroking it (twss), big cams, & adding high end parts that weren't quoted in the build, then it starts getting expensive. i'd say give Lidio a call for a built motor.

PM me if you need a motor.

I can probably get you a decent deal on a reman stock one shipped to your door. 3 year/100,000 mile warranty.

I am trying to work out a deal with a Ford approved source.

Or better yet, ship your car to Marty, let him do the rest, you will be 100% satisfied (twss), and he can dyno the car for you too.:D

Thanks for the plug Darren!!!

Marauders have been around long enough now that we are starting to do mechanical restorations (motors/trans/blend doors/etc.).
