Has anybody ever had their MAF make a high pitched squeaking noise? It almost sounds like a supercharger. I was at fastblackmercs house yesterday and we both noticed it and scratched our heads. It has never made the noise before. I did clean it a few days before. I guess I will have to buy another one. The car seems to run fine.

That would be a vacuum leak or blow through if you have a centri S/C blowing through the MAF - most likely at the flange.

I don't have a s/c but I will check it out tomorrow. Thanks

Your welcome anytime - hope it's something simple and easy to fix!!
If you have a cone filter like the JLT/K&N some of the adapters don't line up well w/MAF flange and the little OEM gasket doesn't seal well at all. The vacuum leak would also be letting in dirt. Check w/light oil or even a little water and squirt a little on the suspect area(s) and see if the squeak changes.

Mine too.. I thought it was the cheap belt i'm running or it's time for a new idler pully. The other noice it makes is when it warms up and I turn a corner it's like the Posi is stuck and with both wheels spinning at the same time it makes a good bit of noise?? Any sugestions would be great!!
