Since my last thread was closed and i was asked to update when i could here it is.... It works FANTASTIC i stick to my orginal comment and hope this helps to change peoples perspective of DR he was very fast, courtious, and knowledgeable the trans worked well he rebuilt it right and got my tune where it needed to be an i can say after driving the marauder 650 miles from his shop to my home with no leaks, no goofs, nothing wrong in the least. i am very pleased with his work. And again we are all humans we make mistakes and not everyone is gunna be happy 100% of the time. This is a 100% happy customer.

PS i left my home on friday to go down there drop the car off sat morning and was on my way back to TN by 2pm local time on mon with everything complete tuned ready to roll :burn:

That great. I'm not a DR supporter. But, it's nice to read something different for a change, something positive is nice hear.

Glad to hear it all worked out for you.

Not gonna get "snarky" here. I am happy you are happy.... I just will say that the reasons for the distaste for DR here run deep.... Very deep.

Selling one thing... Getting another...

Parts from one members car winding up on another members car...

Taking over a year to complete a build and then having it blow up half way home...

Honory customer service & sketchy processes at best

Putting crazy amounts of miles on a car without expressed permission beyond test drives....

Questionable cash management/CC handling processes

Note.... Not once did I say anything derogative about DR as a person... (don't know him well enough).

I've been here since 2006, and this stuff was well under way when I came on scene. So, I hope you understand how 1 good running car for a small amount of time, may not convert the skeptical and the already bruised...

Good luck with your car though. I hope you enjoy it:burnout::beer:

Did DR ask you to post?
We should promote the Vendors who support the site and who are supported by the membership based on their experience as a whole.
The only person who can change the perspective about you is you!

To sailsmen no he did not he was only interested in what i was paying him to do this are my opinions on my dealings with DR

To gamike i do feel bad for the events that happened that lead you to have such a bad experiance but life is to short to allways be upset its over past is past we all move forward and im not trying to tell everyone that if they need work done that they HAVE to goto DR but just like you i have posted up my experiance with him so people can be more informed as to something alil more current and dont get me wrong i am not down playing the issues just wanting to share how my car was dealt with

To guspech750 i understand what your saying and i agree positive things are very good to read about especially with all the bad things going on in this world we need all the positives we can get

More proof that he only does right by customers that are close enough to reach out and knock him on his ass. Live further then a days drive and you you get results like was mentioned before. Go buy a lotto ticket, and watch out for falling pianos.

If people are allowed to post on their experiences with a vendor than should not all the experiences be posted, the good, the bad and the ugly?

TN... Just to be clear... Those were not "my" experiences.... To be fair, I do know a member who sent his Marauder to DR, and got back exactely what he wanted. It ran great/performed as advertised, but thats the "yin" opposed to the overwhelming "yang" with members here......

Its kinda hard to dig outta the size hole that DR is in here... 1st you have to want to try... That kind of effort needed to begin a long time ago... It didn't....

Our local speedshops here screw up too.... No doubt. Gonna happen in this biz...Its all how you handle it and the frequency of which it happens... Too ea. his own though. Best of luck with your ride. I wish you nothing but enjoyment with your beast. :)

Yes ga we all reap what we sew in this life but like u said there are 2 sides to every coin and if he does end up digging himself out of the "hole" then i applaud him but as ive allready said and u just reaffirmed every business has issues not just the ones that make it on here i feel we can show how things can improve over time while others may not and i mispoke when i said "your" experiance but just knowing the intimate details that way it seems this was more personal then just an observation

You obviously have no idea of the "bad experiences" so many members have had with DR that took place year after year, over and over.
It resulted in the suspension of this website and DR no longer being welcome.

I have no experience with DR, I am newer to the site and don't know anything about the past situations. We do all have issues from time to time in business.

That being said, I am very happy that you wanted to have work done to your car, you found someone who said they could do it for you. They did it when they said they could, for a price you agreed to, and you drove it home. I like hearing good stories about shops. Being a shop owner myself I hate seeing and hearing about people being ripped off. It does not help our industry as a whole to have bad techs or owners out there.

Enjoy your car, bring it down to Louisville so we can all see the work first hand!

There was a time when I was building a car and contemplated having DR do some work..... I did my due diligence.... Speaking with members who had work done.... Learning about their experiences.... That is what I learned. It was not just 1 or 2 instances.... It was a pattern visible in his business dealings.

What we are talking about here for some members, is upwards of $12-16k+++ and months if not a year of time without their car...... I know you look at this and say "why is he the mouthpeice for these people?" Because many are embarrised that after being warned of what would/could happen, that it did
happen to them

Yes it disgusts me that this happend to my friends and other members here, but I am not going out there to say DR did all this on purpose all the time.... I am saying, at one point I was so concerned that I had a series of calls directly with DR to discuss how he could improve areas of his business. For a time things got better, but then went down hill like a black diamond ski slope..... (LJ on 24's...cpe6 ect...)

What I have posted is not bashing... Please make that distinction.:o

I'm glad it all worked out the way you wanted. Personally, I had a great experience using Dennis when I S/C'd my stock engine back in 2009. My car came out just like I wanted it to and pulled 460.93. I ran that setup or 2.5 years before going to my current setup that Mo's (Martyo) did. Dennis has always been great to me and took care of me. I'm glad you are happy with your car and Dennis took good care of you. Enjoy your ride!

Hi Tnbigbody: Sorry to get in so late on the conversation. Hope you are enjoying the new sotp feel. I to took mine to DR. He yanked my motor out. Put in a nice low mileage motor, reinstalled my Trilogy Supercharger, and tuned it for me. I got it in on a Friday afternoon and by lunchtime Monday I was on my way home to Texas. I enjoyed it for appx 2 and 1/2 years with no problems.
You said you got it tuned???What was you Dyno numbers if???you don't mind sharing. Good luck and happy motoring?
