Hello. What have you all done to successfully install a fuel return system? I'm planning and buying parts for the Eaton Swap and I think the overall performance would be better with a return system. Open to suggestions and ideas. Thank you!

I'm not sure what many have done, in fact I think Zach is the only one I know that has done it, again I think some of the southern boy's have so maybe they will jump in here!

A return style fuel system is something I would consider when I hit the 600 rwhp mark, anything less and returnless is fine.

Yup. SVT fuel pump and a BAP will work fine unless you're planning to push some big HP numbers.

Its pretty easy to do. Do you want to keep the pump in the tank? And how much power do you want to make?

Hi. I'm not sure about the in tank pump or out. Will you give me the pros and cons? Also, please don't laugh, I'm shooting for 600 to 800 hp. And please excuse my lack of knowledge as well, but what is a BAP? Thanks everyone!

BAP = Boost A Pump. 20 or 40 amp
http://www.kennebell.net/KBWebsite/Accessories_pg/Boost%20A%20Pump/layouts/boostapump.htm

You will need a forged motor for that kind of power along with a twin screw Whipple supercharger. An Eaton won't do the job.

Stock Marauder engine go BOOM with that kind of power.

Some members in South Florida had this done. Aside from a return line, you'll need pumps that can handle being turned on all the time. I noticed as of late that the GT500/Focus pumps do not cut it.

Thanks everyone. I knew about the BAP after all. Duh. I just couldn't remember. I have a Ford Racing BOSS 5.0 Iron Block stuffed with 8.2 to 1 forged internals. 4k on the short block alone. And yep, I built it. Now I'm piecing together the blower part. I'm also having the original heads worked over. This is a top shelf build, from motor to trans to rear end including a mini tub. Again, thank you all for your help!

For that much power. You should go with atleast a whipple 2.9 with crusher. Or KB 2.8. And sump the tank with a big external pump. Or you can research a fuel surge tank and see if that is more what you would like instead of a sump. You could always do a fuel cell in the trunk if not worried about keeping that space open.

Here is a thread on my sump built for the aeromotive pro series pump. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=77877 There are a couple other threads about sumps around I believe.

On the 2.3 whipple we have gone 10.8's at 4200lb race weight. I think there is a little more left in it. And then with a 100 shot it went 10.30 with a 1.41 60' time.

Yep. I am looking into the Whipple. Not quite as expensive as Kenne Bell. I didn't think about sumping the tank. Great idea. Thanks everyone for your help and input!

Mini tub? You've got to post up some pictures on that. Step by step would be nice.

Not a problem with the tub build. I keep all these mods in my laptop with the pictures. I do the same with clients.

This probably won't take place until this summer. The missile is tucked in for a long hibernation.

Mini tubs is the easy part. You are limited to the control arm and shock mounts. Not exactly the end of the world, just more than the usual.
