This started the other day. I was driving and nothing abnormal happpened until I hit 60 mph, then the car started sputtering, it eventually went away the more I drove. Today, I was driving home, then things went haywire. While I was driving, I could hear a clicking sound coming from the dash, then the lights would flash, whether they were switched on or off, then on top of that, the horn would occasionaly blow, while driving. Thinking simple, I had the battery and alternator tested, to no avail, I was able to drive it home though thank goodness. Any ideas about this possessed vehicle, it was fine this morning?!!!

It also has clicking sounds from under the hood while all this is going on!

LCM, light control module. Consult with Fastblkmerc.

The LCM wouldn't cause clicking under the hood or affect drivability. You may be dealing with more than one issue.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking!
Check the wiring harness behind the cam cover on the left side of the motor. Also check the harness at the left front around the air compressor.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Possibly a short in the system due to the chafing of the harness on the left side.

Did the car shudder at all? Sometimes that could mean the trans needs new fluid. Lights are most likely the LCM. The horn beeping....? Clicking could come from many different places, e-brake shoes, A/C compressor, fan. Let us know how it turns out.:)

Yep, LCM is one of the issues, along with misfiring in one of the cylinders :-(

I have exactly the same problem. Headlights flashing on when they are switched off or off when they are turned on. Clicking from under the dash (sounds like it's above the knee bolster). The horn going off (for a fraction of a second).
Some here have said the LCM wouldn't cause the clicking sound. If that's true, what is clicking (a relay I assume, but which relay)?

If the clicking corresponds with the headlights going on and off then it's a good possibility that the headlight relay inside the LCM is bad.
I can fix that for you.

Sounds like one of the two. A chaffing wire loom or push out that could be almost anywhere in the car. That would cause a hot to ground making a relay clicking off and maybe back on again. With most of the relays being under the hood in a fuse box, I would think it highly unlikely you would hear this especially at speed. Or the light control module (LCM) which would make a clicking sound as if you are turning the headlights on and off. It is positioned under the knee bolster in the dash (sound familiar). If it were me, I'd get the LCM to Fastblackmerc. My opinion that could be absolutely worthless..
