View Full Version : 4" tips & Muffler delete?

I need some quick assistance. I have a 04 that went to the shop today for 4" resdeletes and flowmasters. The shop just called saying the flowmaster quiet the sound and it sounds better with no muffler.
Any thoughts? I also have lidio tune.....will this be impacted? Will I see worse gas milage
What flowmaster do you have with QUIET SOUND?

They ar 40's, i havent heard itmyself yet. Anyone know if it is ok to use the 2.5" factory to the 4"?

The shop has it twisted! Flows are not quiet mufflers

The guy at the shop must be smoking some good s**t. Ive never herd of flowmasters not making noise. Maybe he just wants to keep the flowmasters for himself. Dont listen to him and get them installed. It will sound beautiful.

Thanks fellas, removing the rear cats too just to be safe. On my way to pick her up now, will let ya know how it turns out.
If you removed the 2nd set of cats, have flowmasters, and deleted tips!
You should love the way it sounds! :up:

4" tips are only res-delete tips. There are 3.5" res and res-delete tips. The res ones are the same as stock.

No problem. Also just to note, the 4" tips have a 15 degree angle cut where as the 3.5" tips have a 30 degree angle cut at the exit side.
