Anyone have another '04 oem wheel for sale...the #)(#U&$((#*$*(#^ guys who put on my new set of tires late last year scuffed up the edge of one of my pristine 23,000 mile wheels...they were all perfect before that 'incident.'
I am afraid to buy one from one of the sources on ebay/internet because I read here that most if not all of those wheels are not really constructed like the factory pieces...and hate to pay a Ford dealer for a new one (if they are available...and I have not checked lately)..but might have to I guess.
Any suggestions?

All the 03/04 wheels are the same. I wouldn't buy a new wheel cause of a petty scratch. Our wheels are forged even the full size spare. The only great option is send your wheels out to California Chrome Wheels to get refinished with their beautiful Chrome finish. You won't regret it spending the extra coin on shiney wheels. Another option is Wheels of America but they don't offer any finishes in Chrome. Make sure when your putting on new tires on the new refinished wheel that you watch the asshat that's mounting and balancing the wheel.

I had thought of having it refininshed since I only drive this car on sunny days and to local car shows in the area and I HATE that 'machine rash' on the one wheel...thanks for the info.
I did call the local Ford dealer in San Marcos, Texas...the good ol' boy in the parts dept told me there was no longer a listing for these wheels in their computer system...and that when the wheels were available, they were $1500 EACH. Yikes...
and another lesson learned for sure...always WATCH (if possible of course) when some dufus is doing something like that with your vehicle.
This all came about at my local tire store ... where I know all the folks and have traded there for years...so of course I did not even think to look at the bloody wheels before I drove home and did not notice the problem until some time later...again, a lesson learned.
