Why does everybody post all these damn cars off of CL?
All you're doing is diluting down the threads started by actual MEMBERS of the site trying to sell their car, in essence screwing your fellow board members into having to compete with these likely lesser quality cars pricewise and for space on the board.

On the other hand he is helping other members find cars they may not normally know are for sale. Furthermore keeps members in check as far as the reality of the going rate on our cars.
We all think our cars are worth more than they actually are because we have an emotional attachment.
We all have an opinion and all i would say is maybe copy the links one at a time in notepad then post them as a group in one thread to keep this section a little less cluttered, then again that's just my opinion. Also don't post a blue pm me :)
Otherwise keep'm coming!!

Posting CL cars defeats the purpose of having a board and community.
Anybody can go to all of craigs and search nationwide. It's NOT difficult.
All it accomplishes here is pushing actual members' cars down to the bottom by promoting non-community member cars.
You're also going to find accident and salvage cars on CL with no mention of it in the ad and owners who won't offer that tidbit up, thus pushing members to price their cars below market value.

If people want to post ebay/CL ads maybe MM03MOK could create an Ebay/CL listing forum so it doesn't dilute down actual good solid offerings by members.

Absolutely, I bought my car member, everything I looked at on lots and from non members was pure junk. The car I bought was very well cared for and documented, as opposed to the junk on CL.

We need a CL/Ebay forum for those that like to roll the dice.

I agree with the cluttering and pushing down ads part. I would like to see them rolled into one:beer:

I view this site as THE source of all information about the Marauder, THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY. Everyone please continue to post as much information about the Marauder as possible. The day the Admins start censoring information about the Marauder is the day I no longer have any interest in this site.

Worrying about the value of your Marauder is like worrying about the value of your ice cream cone.

Ice creme cones.....

Today, there are many different types of ice cream cones on the market. Some are baked into cone or cup shapes while others are rolled into cone shapes. Before the invention of the ice cream cone, people would lick ice cream out of dishes called penny lick ice cream glasses (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-the-different-types-of-ice-cream-glasses.htm) as the treats were sold for one cent apiece. Wafer, waffle, sugar and bowl are some of the most popular types of ice cream cones.
Wafer ice cream cones are also sometimes called cake cones. They are often lighter in texture and thinner than the other types and are sometimes made with cake flour to create an even more delicate composition. Wafer cones may be pointed or cup-shaped.
Waffle cones are very popular ice cream cones. They have the texture produced by a waffle iron (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-waffle-iron.htm) and are usually rolled and formed into a cone shape. Waffle cones are often thick and may even be double rolled for extra strength and thickness. Chocolate (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-chocolate.htm) waffle cones often have some melted chocolate added to the batter and are very dark in color.
Sugar ice cream cones are the sweetest type of cone as they have the most sugar added. White sugar and molasses are usually used to make sugar cones, but some times brown sugar (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-brown-sugar.htm) is used to produce a slightly darker cone. Like some waffle cones, sugar cones may also be double rolled.

Give the guy a break...he's a new member and I assume that with his excitement of owning a Marauder, he just wants to help other Marauderless members who are looking, and not in the areas of where members are listing their MM ....an alternative.

I do agree that it is probably best to "create an Ebay/CL listing forum so it doesn't dilute down actual good solid offerings by members".

I will say that I do agree that Members looking for a MM will always find the best condition MMs from a member. When I got mine I looked at members MMs for sale, and really liked a few, but all were far from me, and couldn't afford to travel. I ended up with one off a local small car lot, that was posted here..

Darren as a Bakery owner I agree with your cone history lesson.

I believe there should be a separate section for local listings for non members ONLY if they are budget deals, ie high mileage/abused bargains that are worth it if you don't have $15k + to spend for a nice one owner garage queen thats supercharged. Everyone can't afford to come up with that kind of cash at once but still wants a shot of owning one of these beasts, even if its a small crappy hole in the wall dealer. There was one in PA I would've bought off craigslist but I didn't have the money at the time, a DBP for $8k at a dealer. However, the next MM I buy will most likely come from a member because its most likely a way better car for the price.
