BOC plans...

Just wondering if the itinerary is being worked on for the BOC this year.

What are we gonna do Friday night? Dinner? ZMax dragway? After BOC activities?

I've got a final exam on the morning of the 3rd (8a-11a), then will go have lunch with my kids at their school; expect to be in the Charlotte area 4-5pm.

Funny you should ask. I just got an update from the FOAC guys today.

They're really gonna do up this year's show for Mercury as the featured vehicle for 2013. Multiple Marauder classes, plus two additional classes for other Mercs. Check out the flyer.

In addition to the BOC on Saturday, the Carolina Marauders are going to host a Regional event in conjunction with it. More details to come on that, but we can tell you that the HQ hotel will be the Hilton, the same venue we had for MV8. Also have some plans for a little "quality time" at Bikinis B&G at least one of the evenings.

Would really like to see a strong turnout of folks from the Southern Marauders as well as some of the southwestern CAMers, but any and all MM.net members are welcome (hear that, SSM guys? :D)

Yeah, and Doomie could prolly score at least a 3rd place trophy in the SC Marauder class...;) ----------------> :D

BTW, the FOAC guys partner up with Roush for the trophies. Each one is a rod and piston assembly that's been run in one of the Roush NASCAR motors. Maybe Russ or Tom can get a pic and post up; definitely not your run of the mill show hardware.

Might be able to handle doing something with you Friday night--look in morn for updates--Saturday afternoion & evening I am at basketball game with UNCC vs VCU here in Charlotte--eating with VCU team and sis and brother-n-law ( from there) and got free tickets from them----doesn't matter will pull for home team of mine anyway-- maybe get together Friday night--where u plan to stay?

Yep, I'm talking about FBM. Have fun at the game...go 49ers! (my brother and sister graduated from there). I'll be staying at my Mom's/Sister's house in Harrisburg both nights.

Edit: Tom...just looked at UNCC's schedule...the game you're talking about is this weekend; I'm talking about the weekend after (16th)...

No, but we pretty much dominated the late model full size Ford/Mercury class that year...(as in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place);)

This year's event will be great, with the multiple Mercury classes, and three for Marauders, nice cars that are well detailed should be very competitive.

Heck, Pops would be pretty much guaranteed a trophy if he showed up with the Grand Monkey in the '65 and newer class.
