Need your opinion

Hey guys need your opinions on this one.

A new member here I think with a crown vic wanted to purchase my stock gears I'm selling for $70, shipping not included.
Shipping in a flat rate box was something like $15.

He didn't seem to have much money so I told him just give me $75 shipped to your door and gave him the option to gift the money or him pay the fee.

He paypal the money to me and I got hit with the fee. i pm'ed him back asking what happened and his response twice was to just quote our pm's and no new text or anything.

Maybe he is having trouble navigating the pm stuff or what I don't know but there is no response back to me, just qoutes with no new words.

I know justbob made a thread about paypal fees and all.
I agree with him all the way but it is a choice a buyer must make if the seller doesnt want to pay.

All prices for my mm stuff are without shipping and if anybody wants paypal fees they can pay them. Simple as that.

I've never had any problems on this site and I feel bad for Bob what happened to him on the other site.
Actually mercuryed got me for money and that was a local sale so sometimes even local pickups don't work out.

Question is should I just refund the kids money or give him time to figure the pm stuff out because he doesnt seem to communicate through email.

And is it fair to just sell stuff for flat prices no shipping and fees included?

Knowing that shipping can change from region to region. Seems like nothing much fits in this flat rates the po has to offer.

i would cut the kid some slack. maybe just add a few bucks to cover the fees and include them in your price. just my 2 cents. Good luck

Thats the thing, I thought I did cut him slack by paying $10 towards the $15 to ship it. And told him to cover the fee if he didn't want to gift it.

I think this goes along the lines of give em a inch they want or take a foot.

I'd give the potential buyer an ultimatum. Either send you the balance due as a gift through PP or you'll refund to him what you actually received as a gift through PP. Too many of these "buyers" out there that only have the ability to understand what benefits them. Either gamesmanship on his part or he's an idiot.
