MM with Cobra motor which system to choose

I'm always learning about our car. I've been reading that kooks and SSW make an exhaust system specifically for the MM. What about guys who have a cobra engine. Do they still go with the kooks or SSW with the Marauder application.

Cool pic I think I will go with a kooks headers and x pipe. Not sure what mufflers yet. BTW I saw your car on YouTube 500 HP with stock motor. I'm in awe of what you did. When did you get the cobra motor. I know you love the trilogy but would you ever get a polished Whipple.

When my car pulled 500RWHP that was with the cobra block that you see in the pictures. The cobra motor was installed in 09. Picked it up for $1,200 bucks and it only had 12,000 miles on it.

I wouldn't trade my Trilogy for anything!!!! Except a Trilogy TWINSCREW ;)

You hit 500 stock motor with headers and air intake is that it what pulley size is on the blower and what size lowering kit. That's all you paid for it. I should have got you to buy mine. Wow what a deal.

What about Bassani headers are those good or crappy.

I phoned an exhaust shop in my area and asked them if they sold kooks headers for my Marauder. They told me the cobra set up won't fit on a Marauder because the chassis is different. What the hell. I thought everyone said its the same thing.

Get some SW headers from Stainless Works (vendor here) or some Kooks from Mo's

Even if the motor is from a Cobra there are Marauder specific headers made by Kooks and SW just for the MM, regardless if the motor is stock or another 4.6 dohc in it because of where the steering knuckle and k-member sit.

SW headers are Long Tube
Kooks are mid-length.

You asked about a Cobra set up, not a Cobra.

Engines - both physically same.

Cars - nothing even close to the same.

I know this better than anyone here... Look for a thread titled Mac LT's FTL justMacs FTW. You'll see.

Your original post asked if you can use the same headers in your car if you run either an OEM or a Cobra block, and the answer is"yes."

The heads are the same, so whether you're running an OEM block or a Cobra block in your car, Kooks or SW headers made specifically for the Marauder will fit.
