Are you really sure it's the bower motor? The problem is usually the BCM.
BTW... The shop manual says to remove the clip and take off the cage.

That's what I was thinking too!
What makes you think the motor is bad?

Try hooking the blower motor up, turn on the fan and tap the BCM. I bet the motor comes on.

Thanx for all the input.. it was the bcm..why does it always gotta be the software before the hardware?? Dam wheel gave me a bloody knuckle and chipped polish.

For future reference, cage removal pretty much requires 2 people, one holds the cage, the other taps the motor shaft with a punch and hammer. They are stuck on pretty good, but that gets em apart every time.

@ whatsupdohc: Lol.. I'm laughing now but a busted, frost bitten knuckle AND chipped polish in one day was enough for me. And, my neighbor decided to watch me work. Now I HATE that!

I'd send you a repaired one for $35.00..... just send the old one back.
Just an FYI... the new from Ford will fail again., just like the LCMs and EATC's

I changed the BCM in my 99 Town Car only to find out it was the blower motor. All while in the Florida heat and humidity in July. Arghhhh!
