The moment we have all been waiting for ... our polished pedals are almost ready.
The set will be 4 pieces (gas, brake, dead and emergency). Attached are pictures of the gas, brake and emergency. Yes the dead pedal is not shown. I should have a picture of it by Wednesday. I am currently working with CJ on the final fit. But CJ is ready to start taking orders.
Here is the scoop on ordering. CJ is offering the set for $69.00 + $7.00 SH,
IL residents will need to pay sales tax. This price will be a group purchase open until March 31. Afterward, the price will go up a few dollars. So now is the time to call CJ at 847-208-6801. If you don't get to talk to him, please leave a message.
The pedals look great and I am very pleased with the workmanship. If you have any questions, please send me a pm.

how difficult to install for a ham-fisted goober?
Well, Gordon installed the pedals on the Firehawk for me last weekend. And if he isn't a ham-fisted goober ... I don't know who is. LOL!
No seriously it was really easy. They come with instructions and hardware. He used a 3/8" drill bit, drill and a power screwdriver. We lined up the polished pedals on the actual pedal, then used the power screwdriver to drive in the screws on the gas and dead pedal. For the brake pedal, he took off the rubber cover and lined up the polished pedal with the actual pedal and marked the holes. Then used the drill to drill the holes through the actual pedal and placed the screws and bolted them from behind.

Yes, there is still some wait time. First, Gordon and I are installing the first set on our car to be sure of the fit. And second, the group purchase price is open until the end of March. I will check them CJ but I would think it will be a couple of weeks yet.

The pedals installed with little difficulty. The first thing that I noticed was that my gas pedal did not have enough of an arch in it. I took a 26oz coffee can and bent it around the can. This seemed to be sufficient, Chris has talked to CJ about this and hopefully the newer gas pedals will have more of an arch in them.
Instructions and tools needed. Drill, screw gun, 3/16" drill bit, pliers, 1/8" Alan Wrench, hammer and metal punch. Everthing else is provided. Oh and don't forget a towel to lay down under the pedals to keep your mats and rug clean.
Installation, I will start with the gas pedal. Place the polished pedal over the existing pedal and mark the holes, I used a white-out pen. Then use a screw gun to start your holes with the screws provided. Remove screws replace polished pedal with screws and tighten down. I had a little difficulty with the angle on the top screws due to size of the screw gun.
Next the brake pedal. Remove rubber cover from brake pedal and place polished pedal over metal piece. Mark screw holes, again I use a white-out pen. Remove polished pedal, I then took a metal punch and hammer to make a starting point in the metal pedal so the drill would not slide around on the pedal. You will now need a drill and a 3/16" drill bit. Drill through the metal brake pedal on the car. Again I had a little difficulty with the top screws due to the angle and size of drill. Place polished pedal over brake pedal and attach with the 4 bolts and nuts provided.
Next emergency brake, ok I was wrong you can see the emergency brake. Place polished pedal over e-brake pedal and mark holes, remove polished pedal. Take 2 of the screws and screw gun to start the holes. Remove screws, replace polished pedal with screws and tighten down screws.
Kenny Brown dead pedal. I found it easier to remove the dead pedal from the car. You will need a 1/8" Alan Wrench to do this. After you remove the dead pedal turn it over and take a pair of pliers to remove rubber pad, by squeezing the tabs on the back and pushing them through. Now there will be two holes on the metal frame of the dead pedal. I just stuck the bolts through the polished pedal and through the dead pedal frame and tighten down the nuts on the back. I did need to use two washers on the back for the holes in the frame were a little large for the nuts.
Hopefully these instructions will be helpful to the Ham-fisted Goobers out there of which I am one. Remember I know who you are.

I aligned the polished gas pedal flush to the bottom of the gas pedal and then marked the holes. Yes, you could make the pedal lower if you want, but I did not think what would look as nice. The Polished Brake pedal is slightly arched and will fit perfectly on the brake. The polished e-brake also lines up nicely with the OEM e-brake. It is just the position of the OEM pedals and the angle in which they are at and the bottom of the dash.
Installtion was not hard at all, in fact it was very simple. Dificulty level would be about a 2-3 with 1 easy and 10 hard and it was mostly due to the size of my drill and screw gun.
They look great on our car and I am glad to be the first one to have them installed. We all owe Chris a great big THANK YOU for all the hard work she has done on the phone with CJ in getting these pedals made for us. She is already working on Project #2 for us. Shhh...it's a secert and I know what it is. HaHa.

Two Questions-
1. Our problem has been the gas pedal is not wide enough to prevent foot sliding around to under side of pedal---
so...can the new gas "plate" be slid over and maybe only the left set of holes used and still be ok and provide a little more "width" ?
2. Can you bring a "set" with you on your way back thru that we can look at and maybe buy?
Thanks......Tom

Tom,
First question, The polished gas pedal is a little wider then the OEM pedal and yes there is room to customize where you want to screw the polished pedal on to the OEM pedal. Do you want to use only two screws? Well that is up to you, I personally would and did use all four screws for a secure fit.
Question two, We only have one set and they have already been attached to the car. If and when me meet up, I will be more than happy to let you check them out.
Hope this answers your questions?

Easy now...
I said waay ^ there a long time ago, that C.J. and DynoPro are only aftermarket resellers. They are not the OEM on this product.
My VISA card hasn't been charged...Yet, and I placed my order for them a while back too. Remember that the accelerator pedal wasn't a perfect fit in the prototype kit. The kit may have had to go back for adjustments.
I'll be up at DynoPro the end of this next week, April 2, 3 and 4. I'll speak with C.J. myself, and let y'all know what's up, in the event nothing comes through before then.
Considering what Marty and I went through with fender badges and pins, and what Zack and I waited on our control arms, everything here feels on time to me, I'm not sweating this delay.

I got my pedals and they are great. My only comment is that I thought it came with a dead pedal. I did get the polished cover and contacted CJ who told me that I now need to buy the KB pedal to get the bracket. It would have been nice for CJ to make the bracket for those who don't have the KB pedal.
Anyway, they do look great. Now I need to buy KB's Dead Pedal to complete the set.

...with the pedals that Chris got for me through CJ. We just returned from a long road trip down to Orange Park, FL. to see Dennis. All I can tell you is we had no problems from the Polished pedals, no foot slipping or any other concerns. Did not even realize that there was a difference, they performed perfectly and as well as the OEM pedals.
If you are still concerned about your foot slipping, I do not know what to tell you, because I do not know how you drive.
But, they look great on the car and as Marty would say another "Bling bling".

what the heck is a kb pedal???http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8306
I have two complaints, one is the gas pedal fit, and the other problem is I though the pedals would come with a complete set of screws. It seems that I was supplied with 2 screws for gas and 2 for parking brake. If I am not mistaken the pedals have four pre-drilled screw points. Although I used two screws to secure the pedal, I would have preferred to have 4 additions matching screws. This is not a showstopper, but just a minor gripe. :pimp:

Carlos, it took some time but I very easily bent mine on my vise slowly until I had the shape that I wanted. Make sure you put a rag or some kind of protector so you dont mark up the pedal.

I was also short 2 screws for the gas pedal. I was able to find 2 more that matched. I had to pound the gas pedal with a rubber mallet to achive the proper curve. I did this over the edge of my shop table. I took my time so the bend was gradual. I'm happy with the finished product. As far as the dead pedal bracket being included, it's more than just a bracket. There's also a metal piece that is installed under the plastic side panel, that the bracket screws into. Hence the $75 price.

:pimp:
The screws for the gas are self tapping screws(they only give 4 for that)and the rest are machine screws w/ lock nuts.I have 2 extra machine w/ lk nuts. if that helps you just pm me w/ info i'll send them out...

They look great on the car and as Marty would say another "Bling bling".
Gordon, remember, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling!!

I found it easy putting vise grips w/a cloth to hold bottom on then w/ hand bending them into place from the top..

Got mine today...I'll make them fit. I think they will add about .5 in the quarter. Look out TAF! :bounce:

Sorry to hear some of you didn't have enough hardware. We had extras from both the Firehawk and Marauder. I will let CJ know about this.
Sounds as though you guys are getting them installed. Gordon would have liked to use a vise to curve the pedal, however we don't have one so the coffee can was the next best thing.
Be patient while doing them. It is difficult to get the proper angle while trying to squeeze between the pedals and the driver seat.
Definitely a -0.5 in the quarter mile!! Bling bling!

Spent this past weekend with C.J. and the DynoPro guys. Great crew!
I have in hand, one more set of these fine Marauder pedals. Accelerator, brake, parking brake, and dead pedal. I think there are enough screws in the box...
83 bucks. You "Johnny-come-lately" types and last minute dudes...Write me at SergntMac@aol.com for the 411.
Nice pedals...
Nice job too, Ladyhawke.
Well done!

I was also missing screws - called CJ and they said that I was the only call about this. Went to hardware store - $1.00 for two stainless screws.
I bent my pedal by taking my mag flashlight - placing it on the concrets floor - placing the gas pedal over the arc of the flashlight - and pressing down on both sides of the pedal. It bent it exactly.

Me too....I had too many allen wrench head screws and not enough of the self tapping screws. :(
Also went to the local hardware store and got what I needed, no problem. :)
Installation took alittle longer then expected but it's all good.
Broke a couple of my cheap drill bits, but finally got finished.
All I can say is "Beautiful". :bounce:
Waiting on my next weekend project from LadyHawke, she says that she is working on another project with DynoPro, can't wait to see what it is. :bandit: Thanks.

I think most of us that had an early order, ie: First Group, received ours, as LadyHawke said in an earlier reply, the "Second Group" will follow as soon as possible. Thanks.
There have only been 19 orders so far. I was actually disappointed in the number of orders considering everyone's interest. CJ has to order the pedals in groups. The first group just arrived today, so he will be sending them to some of you this week. The second group will follow as soon as possible. Again please be patient.

Hey Everyone!
Glad to hear that everyone is enjoying the pedals! I did hear that some of you did not receive enough hardware. If you have any missing screws, please give me a call and I will have some sent right away.
ALSO-
I ordered 1 extra set of pedals for the GP. I have one set that I can sell for the GP price. It's first come!
Thanks for all the support.
