floor shifter

Just got in my MM and going from park to reverse took some muscling, I have to press the brake all the way to the floor to get it to get out of park. Any thoughts? Or suggestions.

it could be your brake light switch, located behind the brake pedal.

No i was on my driveway, not very steep..ill have to take a look at the brake switch
