What Next??

After replacing the oil filter adapter gasket I drove the car around to see if any water got into the oil when I remover the adapter??:confused: It is not very likely and sticking O-Tips into the oil passages retrieved oil only!!:beer:

After my drive I tried to remove the oil filler cap and got the attached results.....UGH!!!:argue::mad2 : The base stayed in the cam cover and I had to use Channel-Loks to get it out!!:cool: BTW.....NO MOISTURE!!:D

Luckily my parts man got me one in a couple hours.....not many MM ones left!!:shake:

Never heard of anyone having one of these fall completely apart!!:cool4:

You have balls that clank. I would never attempt an adapter gasket without changing the oil.

Ahem......clank.....clank!!!:D

You simply drain all the coolant then disconnect the coolant hose from the adapter!!:cool: Now you insert a small hose through the adapter and into the block to siphon out the remaining coolant!!:beer:

Jack up the driver's side and you might see a thimble full of coolant run to the rear and past the oil passages that are actually up hill anyway....voila...no coolant contamination!!:beer:

Clanking not necessary!!;)

BTW.....I would not have done this if the oil had not just been changed!!:shake:
